I've become a little concerned about my exposure to the sun and I went hat shopping. I found this one, it comes complete with a cute little bearded dragon and hummingbird to keep my company. I think it will be perfect. :):)

The weather is still beautiful here. There is a gentle breeze drifting off the bay which is making it wonderful for spending time outside. I spent most of today pulling weeds from between the flagstone. The way my back is feeling right now from bending over, I'm glad I don't have to walk on all fours. hehehe

This evening when I close my eyes, I think I'll take a walk through this quaint little village. With all the flowers in bloom I bet the scent is heavenly.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. :) We had a bit of rain here but, otherwise the weather was sunny and bright. I spent some of it stringing copper wire to a tree limb. LOL My dad is a ham radio operator and when he starts calling me his orangatan I know he wants me to either climb his radio tower or a tree, this weekend it was a tree. hehehe

The weather here is beautiful today. I'm noticing these peacocks are looking for a shady spot to lay. So are my animals at home. It's not quite noon yet but, I'm hoping to finish up some documents and join them under the trees. :):)

The weather here has been wonderful, I spent a good portion of the weekend outdoors. I just love this time of year.

I had these wonderful, friendly souls come for a visit they only stayed long enough to look around and have some water but, they will be back again soon. :):)

I'm getting ready for a long weekend here in Canada. I was wondering if you would like to take your imagination and join me at the seaside. We are suppose to have nice weather for Sunday and Monday. Finally, it should be safe to plant my vegetable garden. I planted some of the flower beds last weekend and they look so pretty.:):)

The lighthouse beacon is lit, I think a ship may be arriving soon to take us on a magical voyage, we can take the animal too. :):)

I feel a little like the momma in this picture today. I stayed up much too late Saturday night and was only kinda, sorta awake the next afternoon. That's okay, I enjoyed myself and will make up for lost sleep during the week.

I fell asleep tonight after reading a book and hanging a painting. Once I had closed my eyes I had the most wonderful exotic friends come for a visit. I wish they didn't have to return home once I wake up. Maybe I will be lucky and they will come visit me another night. :):)

The weather here is suppose to be warm this weekend. I find my imagination drifting to this beautiful setting. I think I'll take a very early morning stroll there, just as the sun is breaking through the trees. I'll listen to the tranquil sounds of water tumbling over the little waterfall and the birds chirping their early morning song. If I'm lucky enough I may see some little friends scampering about amongst the flowers, rocks and grass.

LOL I know this feeling well. My cats can ignore me for hours and as soon as I lay down they decide they want my attention. Oh well, better than the new phone I purchased. The ring on it is so shrill, that if it rings while I am sleeping, I just about jump out of my skin. hehhe

hmmmm not going to wish you a skin jumping week that sounds too naughty, hehehe

This has been a busy week for me. I think I'd like to be a lioness this weekend and transport myself to some semi tropical savanna and relax. Lions rest about 20 hours a day, that sounds perfect. LOL I think having a handsome fella like this, to gaze upon while I was resting would be an added bonus. hehehhe I love lions their majestic beauty and stateliness never fails to leave me in awe. I wish their numbers weren't decreasing so rapidly.

This looks like an interesting way to get a better view. Just stand on your buddy while he's sleeping. hehehe This fella doesn't seem to mind. Lambs are such precious wee souls.

I have a friend with a pot bellied pig named Gus. What a comical character he is. He rides around in the cab of my friend's truck with him. He's quite social and loves to go visiting. I give him raisins, apples and a tummy scratch while he's here and he puts up a huge fuss when he has to leave. hehehe The fella in the picture appears to be too big to be a pot bellied but, I bet he's comical too.

I just finished making two dozen chocolate covered eggs. Chocolate, icing sugar, condensed milk and butter. I can feel my teeth aching and my hips widening just typing it. LOL It's a good thing there is some leftover butter, it may be needed to grease my hips so I can slide into my jeans. hehehhe

I don't drink tea, coffee or colas and I find even the caffeine in chocolate leaves me wired. I eat it anyway. LOL Between, all the sugar and the caffeine it will be a toss up who is doing more hopping around, me or the Easter Bunny.

Spring has sprung finally in my neck of the woods. All the snow has left and the spring bulbs will soon be in flower. My oldest cat has finally decided to venture outside. She refuses to go out if there is any visible snow at all. My youngest cat is totally different, he will go out in just about any kind of weather. He stays out a few minutes then paste himself to the screen on the front door, yowling like an abused cat to be let back in.

I was looking for an Easter bonnet. You know the kind with all the frills upon it. hehehehe I came across this one but, I'm not sure I could handle a wheat field and all this activity going on, ontop of my head. Quite honestly, I think I would end up with one heck of a headache. hehehe I may have to settle for something a little less elaborate. LOL

I've just arrived home from a busy week in Montreal. I wish I could have been like these beautiful loons and just paddled my way there on a tranquil lake but unfortunately, I had to drive. It was an 8 hour drive each way and when I am so seldom in heavy traffic or a big city. I've arrived home very, very tired.

I did have the opportunity of brushing up on my french. All the signage in Quebec is in french and many of the people do not speak english. There were moment however, that my rusty french did not suffice and I resorted to a game of charades. LOL I did refrain from using creative hand signals while driving although, the utterances under my breath at times I'm sure were best not interpreted. hehehe

I was awake really early this morning and I decided maybe I could eat myself back to sleep. LOL I sat here with a plate of cold bean salad and a glass of cranberry juice. Great combo first thing in the morning. Oh well, I'll make up for it maybe I'll have cereal for supper with a glass of orange juice. LOL

We are suppose to have major thunderstorms here today. Hopefully, it will wash away some of the snow that is left. I don't work today so when I drift off to sleep I hope this handsome fella in the picture comes for a visit. I am thankful the powers that be, gave us horses they are such magnificently beautiful animals. Hmmm I'm fresh out of hay. I hope he likes bean salad.

The days are getting longer and more of the snow is melting. I've been looking through some of the online gardening sites, I want to grow something different in my veggie garden this year. Still undecided what though. I wish they would invent some new vegetables or fruits, hehehe I have a while to decide. It is not really safe to plant anything here until the 24th of May weekend, due to the chance of frost.

I like this picture, I think it is a reminder that we need to keep fun in our lives. I think sometimes as adults we are far too serious and forget to be playful and silly. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

We had a few mild weather days here this week. The snow is slowly disappearing and spring will be here before we know it. I love spring, it's the earth's rebirth. The flowers start to bloom, the trees start to bud, the grass comes alive and all kinds of our feathered friends start building nests and laying their eggs. What a cheerful time it is.

Greetings The bloor bike :):)





It was a beautiful day here today, still very cold but, nice and bright and sunny. I think mother nature is teasing me in anticipation of spring. We have mountains of snow piled up, I'm afraid if we were to get a quick thaw there would be flooding.

I think I may take a walk along this lovely river path tonight before falling asleep. It will be nice to stop and watch the fish swimming and jumping at the little waterfall. The fragrance from all the flora I'm sure is heavenly. I'm going to stop at that inviting cottage too, I see smoke drifting from the chimney and I just know they are baking delicious chocolate chip cookies. hehehe I'll share with you. I get a few more though because, it's my fantasy. :P hehehe :):)

I love sitting out on the patio in the early morning during the summer. Everything seems so peaceful, cheerful and alive first thing in the morning. Birds are chirping, squirrels are frolicking and even the grass, trees and flowers seem more vibrant. It would be so nice to sit quietly at daybreak and watch a deer grazing.

We have deer here but, I never seem to get the opportunity of seeing them still for any length of time. It's probably just as well they are fearful of humans, there is still a hunting season in this area.

I quite like mice. At the end of school one year, I brought three white mice home to keep for the summer. Well...by the end of the summer I had a whole herd of them. They certainly have no problems with reproduction, hehehe I wouldn't mind carrying this cute little guy around in my pocket if they didn't poop so much. LOL

Hi The bloor bike





I'm listening to freezing rain against my window as I'm typing this. The freezing rain combined with the existing snow, I will probably need my ice skates to get to my car. LOL I understand, a good portion of the US is experiencing unpleasant weather, as well.
I'm going to take my imagination and ramble through the woodlands and along the riverbank and see if I can happen upon this beautiful family.
