Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

greg, i just finished the book and it was great. It helped unravel alot of confusion and god willing it will be the one thing that catapults me to super stardom, billions of dollars and a entourage of insanely beautiful women or at least to spliting a few sides.

This past friday was my first official stand up act; it was during my high school talent show. I was the only one doing something different as compared to my peers who were either dancing or doing something with music.
During auditions in FEBUARY I was so ill prepared even though I had been writing a lot. I stood in front of a council of 5 people with notes in my hand and did an ugly good job of making them laugh; there were at least 100 at the talent show. They only laughed at my recovery jokes that I was coming up with off the top of my head. It was the strangest thing- what happened friday- because I had been anticipating that night for nearly two months, wrote like crazy, still felt unprepared, but did a great job anyway! I was bugging (slang for stressed) out all the long and would doubt myself a little when people didn't like my jokes. During rehearsals after school I never had a routine prepared nor did I have any confidence. I found your website and referred to it all the time. The parts about the self critic and "how to rehearse" were very helpful.
Once again, I did great at the talent show! People gave me props and shook my hand after I was done. My ex girlfriend even blushed when I walked past her- she was with some ugly dude. Long story even longer, I don't think I would have pulled it off so well had I not found your website. So Thank you stranger.

Subject: Blues Band gig

Greg, I did a performance this week opening for a Blues Band. The band is called This Side Up. One of the band members asked me to open for them and do a set at the start and a set at intermission. I did 6 at the beggining and 17 on the second set. Some of my more experienced friends told me to pass on it as it would be a train wreck with this crowd. I did not take their advice and did it anyway because I felt it was an opportuntity to learn something and a chance to test my skills and techniques. I was in this totally alone. No other comics in the house to lean on or prop me up. I was the only comic at the venue. Anyway the first 6 went very well. The band was impressed the crowd laughed and cheered and had a great time. The second set was the challenge that my friends had mentioned. There was a lot of chatter in the back of the room, about a third of the crowd was interested in the set so they moved to the front so they could here. We had about 100 people there. Anyway I wanted to see how long I could perform with the noticable distraction in the back of the room with a crowd of drunkin groupies tearing it up back there. I focused on the people in the front that were listening and blocked out the rackett coming from the back. I noticed more and more were peeling off from the back and moving in as my set continued. I ended up foregetting about 3 jokes that I usually use, my point is that I was able to hold my own with competing with the distraction. After all it was intermission and people did need to move around by then. I felt good about the set because it is amasing that so many of them made the effort to listen to the second set. I used the skills I have learned to perform and performed as though nobody was chatting in the back. The band was impressed and would like me to open again at a future gig. It was fun and I loved

Hey Greg, I did a gig at La Casa Blue on friday night,I used many of the skills and techniques you taught me and had many good laughs before what was a tough crowd. I was invited back and I want to thank you for the help you have given. I established my realtionship with the audience immediately and started riffing early in the set. After playing with the audience I went into some joke telling and wrapped it with a piont of veiw story line. I filled the 7 minutes and the whole set was tight.
My delivery was natural, smooth and the biggest improvement was the timing, I actually waited to get in the next punch, what a difference,Thanks.

Greg, you would have been very proud of my performance ( at the Brea Improv) if I may say. I represented the workshop just as I hoped. I had over 100 people that came to see me. Overall we had 85% to 90% full house. It was an awsome crowd. I had a lot of laughs and delivered my stuff in a very natural way. The audience afterwards commented on that, using that word.As you have said to me if it is delivered in a natural way it will be percieved the same way.We had a conversation in the Green Room before my set, even though you weren't there physicaly. You gave me good advice. I told you that I wanted to represent the workshop and I did this one for you. We rocked the house. I had them on a high point and got the light. I didn't miss it this time. With the laughter from the audience I made a decision, I gave them one short snip it, they laughed and I cut it. I came away on a high note and saved the rest for another day. I was invited back to work with these guys again. The whole crew gave me kudos for a great show. Everybody is happy. I hope your show went well tonight. I can't wait to do that Comedy Store again and am looking forward to another round of classes.
