I call bullshit on the band history! Andrew Orlando and I decided to start a band in the gym of the fuckin' YMCA Huntington. He was standing behind a small table with his distro box which I'm sure is still filled with Atlas Shrugged cds. At the time he mentioned he wanted to call the band Reign in Blood and I made a mental note to make sure that never would happen. I told him I wanted to play riffs like Charred Remains aka M.I.T.B.. It never really happened because Andrew came in with most of the riffs (Side note: When we played with M.I.T.B., I was so embarrassed to call what I did 'playing the bass'). Before we had our first practice I got a call from Andrew wand he told me he asked another guy, Carlos to play bass in addition to me so we could sound heavier. Feeling a little threatened I made my bass sound like a distorted guitar by turning the volume to 11 on my Peavy bass amp (still the best distortion sound I've ever had). Playing in BAJ was the best thing I ever did in hardcore. I still think we made the best HxC demo of all time.
