Also, if you ever find yourself with a superoverabundance of tracks we should do a split 7.

We should definitely play another show together soon, it's already been too long since the last one. Or a slew of shows. I'm fine with either.

You guys rocked the piss out of the BFG when I saw you guys play there- in my opinion the best band of the night, not that it matters. The recordings sound really good, I'll have to pick up some music next time it's available to me.

Hey dudes. I am vividly hungover and amazed that my fingers are doing the typing.
Not gonna gush, but shit, those two songs on that split are simply amazing. Makes me not look at "the future" of rock and roll so bleakly. Thanks. "Rock and Roll ain't no riddle man, to me it makes good good sense" An English gentleman penned that phrase in a song from like 1983 I think. You've heard it. It seems appropriate.
In short: Record a full length. Don't stop going in whatever "direction" you're going. Come back to Gainesville, throw some horse shoes with me, and rock.
Cheers to you boys. Sweet sweet jamz.

MONGREL ZINE #7 IS OUT NOW
The new Halloween issue of Mongrel Zine is full of spooky delights! Haunted George schools us on Halloween sound effects and his Garagepunk podcast Haunted Shack Theatre, King Louie charms us with tales of stealin’ Lil Wayne’s wardrobe girl and drinking with Fats Domino, Vancouver’s newest garage band Indian Wars find the best skateparks, Inservibles tell us about Mexico City’s best tacos from what is a shitty mechanics workshop during the day and taco stand by night, a rare interview with the late Billy Van from The Hilarious House of Frightenstein, vintage Halloween collector Mark Ledenbach, plus Box Elders, The TVees, Hard Feelings, HYPSTRZ, The Orpheans, Corpusse, Telekrimen, and tonnes more…
This issue includes
Mongrel Zine Vol. 4 CD Comp
with 28 tracks including Bloodshot Bill’s “In the Graveyard…!” written especially for this Halloween issue of Mongrel Zine!

URGENT: Wanted Two Bands for Label Consideration
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist.
** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong.
*** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist.
** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong.
*** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
XXX - If you meet the minimum qualifications as described above. Email a link for your MySpace Page and if applicable, a link for your website to: recordingartistsearch@gmail.com
Only send one email with your links. Due to the volume of responses normally received for these types of opportunities. After review of your material, you will only be contacted if there is an interest in attending one of your shows by a label representative. As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.
Thank You.
