The internet represents the people...the last free thinking people that have a chance to stand up against the monopolization of information by mainstream media sources... by reading your excerpts and the tone of the discussion...i think you guys spit a lot of hatred...you attack ron paul's physical form...what has him being thin have to do with your beliefs and ideas of governance??? so you would rather have someone a little more fuller and be a disaster??? National security is a joke...we cant even protect our own cities from natural disasters...the patriot act takes away our rights...you guys want to continue pushing fear... the truth is america can only be successful if we are constantly at war...we dont manufacture anything anymore besides our precision guided missles... if the govt got the people in illegitmate wars in the past...and sacrificed the lives of our most finest and courageous soldiers...whos to say they wouldnt attack their own people...why do you so discriminately put it past them?? Schwarzenegger and CA Democrats "Global Warming Plan" Drives Industry out of CA Wonder Bread announced its leaving the state of California permanently. They did the typical press release explaining their "surface" reasons for leaving. The real reason is the loss of hope for industry in California's future associated with CA Gov. Schwarzenegger's job-killing compromise with Legislative Democrats, the now infamous "Global Warming Reduction Act of 2006". As is with most items of Government, truth in advertising doesn't apply to legislation (especially their titles). This bill has little to do with global warming, because California can't stop the Earth's natural geological cycles, plus any "reductions in man-made global warming" will be offset by industry and jobs simply moving to Mexico, or if our country is lucky, perhaps another state, where the emissions from those factories, etc. will resume. Since factories, etc. will move to more hospitable territory, they will release essentially the same amount of bi-products into the air and thus the only real loss won't be of pollutants, it will be JOB LOSS in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA in particular, California as a whole. Any other state that considers following our ACTING GOVERNOR Arnold and the Democrats of California's lead better think twice; don't let CA be your state's example in this area, the consequences will be decreased private industry employment, and a few more jobs created at the welfare office and unemployment office.

If you're surprised by that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you about 300 groups and individuals met with staff members of the energy task force, including a handful who saw Cheney himself, according to the list, which was compiled in the summer of 2001. For six years, those names have been a closely guarded secret, thanks to a fierce legal battle waged by the White House. Some names have leaked out over the years, but most have remained hidden because of a 2004 Supreme Court ruling that agreed that the administration's internal deliberations ought to be shielded from outside scrutiny. One of the first visitors, on Feb. 14, was James J. Rouse, then vice president of Exxon Mobil and a major donor to the Bush inauguration; a week later, longtime Bush supporter Kenneth L. Lay, then head of Enron Corp., came by for the first of two meetings. On March 5, some of the country's biggest electric utilities, including Duke Energy and Constellation Energy Group, had an audience with the task force staff. British Petroleum representatives dropped by on March 22, one of about 20 oil and drilling companies to get meetings. The National Mining Association, the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America and the American Petroleum Institute were among three dozen trade associations that met with Cheney's staff, the document shows. I think we need time to reflect on the fact that according to my recollection being in Brooklyn looking at the freaking hole in the ground that was the world trade center. I still don't have osama bin Ladin head on a plate and I don't fell ay safer. This president has F##$%ed up time after time. He and his administration have wasted my time and my money in a war in Iraq that just cost me about 40 billion a month. For all the money we spent we could have gone to century 21 and purchased the whole country and moved everyone out. I want Osama head and the last place it was seen was near Pakistan. so why are we in Iraq??? I could care less about the freedom of some Iraqi. Where is Osama? Hey Sage could you use your infinite wisdom and explain that one to me and where are the WMD's? Please I am charging you with this task as a fellow american who claims to be smarter than me.
