Hey Alvin - played your album (Hedonism) in the car all the way up to Cambridge and back today - great arrangements and beautiful playing from everyone on the record - a real joy to listen to from beginning to end. Congrats on a fine record.

SPECIAL SHOW HELPS TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN. R.O.S.Y. CAN CASH IN ON CONCERT

Oxford Mail: 21st December 2006

Soul and Jazz artists will be raising the roof – and hopefully a lot of money for charity – at a live music event in Oxford in the New Year.

The concert is being held to raise essential money for the Oxfordshire’s Children’s charity R.O.S.Y. (Respite Nursing for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters) who help families nurse terminally ill or chronically sick children in the home.

Performers from the Soul, Urban and Jazz worlds, including Oxfordshire’s finest JADA Pearl (R&B) and Alvin Roy Jazz Quartet will be performing tracks alongside a very special special guest appearance from Def Jam UK's.
