Squelching Entrepreneurial Companies
Serfdom for the Entire Country
Those are new 2009 definitions for the SEC, which you probably know stands for the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Team Obama capped executive pay last week at $500,000 per year for all of the giant financial firms who were privileged enough (only by the sheer magnitude of their failures) to qualify for government bailouts under the TARP. Guess who has been paid MANY TIMES that while heading FINRA since inception, and long before that in other key positions, while failing miserably all the while at effectively regulating the financial industry? Mary Schapiro! In the months prior to Obama's election, I actually blogged about her lame suggestion at an industry conference that a "task force" be formed to look at the industry and come up with solutions. The NASD said it expected the regulatory consolidation would "increase efficient, effective, and consistent regulation of securities firms, provide cost savings to securities firms of all sizes, and s
