RUND & THE HOLD UP. Marietta's J.R. Rund is an up and coming singer/songwriter who crafts songs in the vein of such prolific artists as Tom Petty and Ryan Adams. His songs are structured around a classic pop formula, but infused with a country, soul, and gospel sensibility. Notable influence from bands like The Wallflowers, Wilco, and Gram Parsons is evident upon the initial listen. Following next is a band from Winston-Salem, NC -- CALEB CAUDLE & THE BAYONETS. Independent Weekly describes the band's sound as "The sweet spot between alt.country and roots pop." The second half of the night strays from the roots-pop/ alt. country/ americana/ folk sound that the previous two bands offer and delves more into the territory of an electro-acoustic type of sound. Atlanta's SONEN takes the stage afterward. Closing out the night is WOVEN, a live electronic band from Los Angeles that takes a variety of influences ranging from Squarepusher, The Notwist, Massive Attack, and Slowdive. Touring in support of their latest release, "Designer Codes" will not disappoint!
