greetings and thanks for the add. I've been reading about you in the Australian media. Really interesting. My PhD is on music sector business models and one of the ideas syncs with your thoughts re online communities/tribes etc. Hoping to finish the thing this year.... maybe next year.... hopefully soon!

Thanks for adding me... I've been a fan of your blog for a while now... heh... it's nice to be able to cite another non-traditional academic once in a while.

You came to the Berkman Center yesterday. I was there, but had to leave right after.

If you're still in the area, look up tonight. Possible meteor shower.

Actually it probably doesn't matter if you're still in the area unless you've gone to the Orient somewhere...in which case look up right now before the sun comes up.

You're interesting, myspace friend.

I found you when doing a paper on internet existentialism.

For somebody who does the work you do and whose web site links to myspace, I'm surprised you don't have a huge pile of myspace friends. I'm even more surprised that all of your comments aren't cleverly worded bits of myspacial satire.

That's all. Keep it up.

Hey wait... Do you talk to your cat about catnip? You seem like the kind of person who would be concerned about feline nepetalactone usage.
And is that a table, or some weird neural network prototype?

Hi Danah, love the work.

Just like to say thanks because I found your papers on online social networks really helpful while I was researching my Masters dissertation (on MySpace). They definately helped to nudge me in the right direction, so thanks again.

Hi danah! Fancy meeting you here LOL

I'm still sticking to my original impression of MySpace: it's like that teenage hopuse party on the weekend when the parents are away, that gets bigger and bigger and louder and louder until it's completely out of hand... in other words, it's fun, but it's also juvenile and it's outta control.

I mainly use MySpace, not to socially network, but to scope out musical artists I've heard of, to get an idea of how their music sounds. I have an artist friend that I'm going to promote via MySpace, just to see if it has any impact on his sales. He's the perfect test subject: a consummate, articulate, heartfelt artist with loads of unsold product in his home :-D so this should be interesting.

Seeya!

Hi... Thank you for accepting my friend request.. I'm so impressed by everything you're doing and reading about and teaching.
If it wasn't for you, I might not have joined MySpace, but you put everything into a very tolerable perspective and as a mother of a 10 year old, I feel it's important to know whats going on in what will soon be HIS world! Plus, like I said in my message to you - I NEVER had this many friends growing up!!
Sorry for the novella....
Peace to you Danah Boyd.
