Wall streetinvestors are pocketing millions byinvesting in private prisons that lobby to ensure the law locks up millions oflow level non violent drug offenders. Major corporations are removing jobs from the private sector to mounttheir operation inside the walls of the prisons for cheaper labor and to avoidpaying payroll taxes, social security and benefits.
In some cases young children are beinglocked down 22-23 hours per day with their parent. Hundreds of billions of our taxpayer dollarsare being wasted. As a result morekids are being thrown into the foster care system while private prisons andWall Street investors line their pockets at our expense.
