Mixx Make presented by Electric Promotions & TwoGroove from 9pm to 2am on on October 24th at Mixx (612 E. 6th St.) A spooky smorgasbord of crafts by The WonderCraft, music, coffin cake goodness from Blue Note Bakery, red rum compliments of Treaty Oak and much more.Create DIY Halloween masks, groove to the sounds of Panjoma, Focus Group, and the Team Fabrication DJs. Photo-booth by Trevor Ray Thompson. On top of all that, there will be a guitar giveaway! Entry is $6 (RSVP at www.mixxmake.com) or $8 at the door. The first 50 people through the door get a special treat.

Featuring musicians like Wine and Revolution, Suzanna Choffel, Freq Nasty and 62 other acts across three stages, over 100 visual artists ranging from photographers to jewelry-designers, film shorts by Austin Underground Film Society, on-site yoga and acrobatic training, DIY craft demos, fashion show by Rene Geneva, fire dancing performances and much more, Art Outside is an unforgettable, full-sensory art adventure. Art Outside also makes a special effort to reach out to families, and will offer interactive earth-friendly projects, storytelling, and a variety of arts and crafts workshops for children at this year's event.

Since its inception in 2004, Art Outside presented this year by Art Seen Alliance has played a significant role in shaping Texas' vibrant art and music community. By moving creative works from inside gallery walls to an outdoor setting with open sky and wild environs, Art Outside challenges guests to rethink the way they view art, fostering an environment where no genre is off-limits, no medium left unexplored.

SITE INFORMATION:

Gates open Friday, October 9th at noon. All children 12 and under will receive free admission. In addition to camp ground privileges for full-weekend participants, Apache Pass offers RV parking and on-site shower facilities for guests, as well as music performance areas, a cantilevered stage over the San Gabriel river, and tents for participating artists and attendees.

The proceedings start at 10pm at The Creekside (606 E. 7th St. Austin, TX) with the musical group Man Carter giving the commencement address.

…then Charlie Hurtin and The Hecklers at midnight

…finally your The Saltworth Sundries take the plunge into manhood at 1am

The Venerable Henry Gibson (of Laugh-In fame) will be there to act as Mohel for the proceedings and sign autographs immediately afterwards. This will be a “scalpel free” ceremony performed in the traditional metzitzah b'peh manner involving surgery by oral application exclusively.

This Thursday March 12 at The Carousel Lounge The Saltworth Sundries and DJ Crackerjack team up to bring you a roots/rockabilly explosion!

This is a benefit for The Texas Rollergirls all-star travel team The Texecutioners. The incredible Crackerjack, jockey a’ discs will be spinning rockabilly vinyl from 9-11. Your The Saltworth Sundries take the floor at 11pm.

The Saltworth Sundries wants to let bygones be bygones. If not bygones then at least baby possums. Baby possums are still cute. So “bygones be baby possums” is okay too. As for the later bygones, maybe they can be...oh...say… malteds. Malteds are good. Do not, however, suppose that baby possums are malteds or can be made into malteds. Try chocolate instead.
