Hey man, It's good too hear from you. I found your new stuff on iTunes and got it immediately. It sounds great. Reminds me of the Black Keys and Tom Waits. It's kick ass. Don't bother with the new Flaming lips album. It blows. I can't believe I pre-ordered that piece of shit. However Paramore's new album rocks my face. We got a chick singer here in Iraq that can belt it out. We've been covering some of their stuff. It's a lot of fun.

Oh oh. I have a son now. His name is Kamren Marshall Lane.

No he's not really named after you. But you can tell people he is if it makes you feel cool. He was born September 18th. He's awesome.

I've only got a five and half months left in Iraq. I'm going to make a video of our next tour, like a short rockumentary. You'll got to check it out when I'm done and tell me what you think.

You may remember me from that nearly-empty show at the Time Warp in Knoxville this past summer. Thanks for putting so much energy into it even despite the small audience! It was a great time.

Your music is absolutely some of the best contemporary stuff around. It's art, baby.
