I hesitated to write for fear of Larry Forbes' wrath. He told me he was a very powerful man in radio. But after the last program I had to speak up. I too met Larry Forbes when he was in Bakersfield. I was instantly charmed and agreed to dinner. The whole time he ate like a pig, made jokes about my anatomy, and at the end of the evening, asked if I could reimburse him for the meal. I am glad he doesn't live here because he's a sexist menace. And a really bad driver. (little inside gossip: he listens to Barry Manilow in his car)

Well, I'd support a figurative death of Forbes, but I don't want Hudson & Gaines to become a forum for violence.
That said, if something were to "happen" to Mr. Forbes, and it weren't traceable back to WBFK, well, I guess that'd be out of my hands.

i hate to say this craig, but we need to come together to avenge Wrinkles The Radio Cat!

Just because we're now technically part of the xenosphere doesn't mean you guys have to hate us.

Word on the street is the upcoming H&G-thon is the first step toward relocating the show to a station with a bigger signal in a larger market, like Pamona or Stockton :( Comments?

Brett, if we don't come face to face with the darkness in Great Haven, it'll overcome us all.

Carey and MikeandorMatt, you two give me hope for this town. I just hope you'll pay as much critical attention to the First Annual Sea Shanty Competition that we'll hold during next year's Sea Hag Festival.
On another note, it's ironic that L.J. is running for mayor in 2012, because he is so yesterday.

I think MikeandorMatt listened to the song backwards.

Oh, Benjammin' and Li'l D spent their hard earned money on Great Haven's greatest music producer to release this track (which does have a damn catchy chorus) and don't expect to make anything in return? Craig Gaines must be the only person in the world who doesn't need money to live.
At least I don't lust for money... I LOVE it!
Craig

Sir, these are spurious allegations, and I demand a retraction. I don't personally know either of these artists, but they should not be persecuted for pursuing their muse. They are no lesser than you just because they don't communicate in the language of cold, hard currency. Have a heart, Mr. Jepson. Have a soul.

Here is a prediction: Benjammin', Li'l D, and you, Craig Gaines, are not friends of our youth. You're enemies! You need to open your eyes to reality! I'd like to know how many kids Li'l D has popped out or how many times Benjammin' has had to take pencillin for the drip!

You think that lust is the new love? Now that you've tackled one of the seven deadly sins, what's next? Wanna take on the ten commandments while you're at it? I'm glad you aren't raising any kids, Craig.
Craig
May 23, 2007 5:46 AM
Consider this, L.J.: Is lust the new love?
Maybe Benjammin' and Li'l D are on to something.
Lynn Jepson
May 23, 2007 12:13 AM
There is a HUGE difference between love and lust. That song is telling our youth, "Lust is cool".
Lust isn't cool!
Craig

I think we have to put ourselves in the shoes of today's youth. This is a song in which two youngsters are expressing their love for each other. Never mind that the lyrics are stomach-turningly dirty. Never mind that Benjammin' doesn't actually realize that Li'l D wants the same thing he wants (hot sex). The only thing that matters here is that this song is an earnest expression of love. And the only thing more beautiful than that is the Bush Pilots winning the pennant.
