Taylor-Lind	May 23, 2007 6:34 PM sent off the questions today it was fucking heartbreaking having to whittle the questions down and ask him stuff relevant to my dissertation and not about the bands that I like that he has worked with(the who, clapton, Fairport, Nick Drake, sandy Denny, nico john cale, Vashti bunyan, bob dylan, muddy waters etc etc) also quite funnily he turned down publishing ABBA's songs in the UK DOH!! so just waiting for his reply dan PS yea can do after the hand in date ie june 2nd just let me know!

Taylor-Lind	May 22, 2007 3:27 PM yes andy any time you dont need an excuse for blatant guitar excess, I am a BIG fan of warren ellis, so lots of feedback and noodling/wailing I can do yea when do you have to do this performance for I could probably spare a few hours in uni if you need me? what did i get err, some white stripes stuff, dandywarhols, some stuff on the acid jazz label, a rare SFA ep err and some other stuff, am too lazt to look in my bag and have forgotten what the rest are! cus i am just so lazy as regards the sony job, fergus, michel, dan ingle, Jason and some other people, I forget who, everyone is competent enough for the job so its gonna be based on the interview methinks, but the guy interviewing me collected vinyl so have a good chance hopefully!! hope that your having a good day dan

Can I Get Away With Pul…	May 15, 2007 11:33 AM Ah, shame. Ho well, such is life hey? Dissertation sounds like fun :0 - glad I dropped out before I had to get involved with one of those, haha. Hope the job interview goes OK as well! Nah Switzerland are painstakingly neutral, still, about everything - so they aren't in the EU, and most certainly didn't stoop as low as joing the Euro - although the Euro is a stronger currency than the Swiss Franc which is quite funny if you ask me. Am gonna take a load of Wembley pics anyway so I'll most likely bombard you with them after, hahaha p.s., a show ey? gonna be doing more?
Can I Get Away With Pul…	May 14, 2007 2:08 PM Danny Wallace! The man is my hero. If you can get a hold of a copy of either "Yes Man" or "Are You Dave Gorman", then I'd really recommend both, very very funny and yet both with a strong message to send :) Gonna be a week of big events! I'm signing for a flat tomorrow, it's a big old bugger - 4 decent size rooms, brand new kitchen and bathroom, small balcony, shared "sun terrace" - all very posh! That's for 1500CHF a month (which is about £600), not too bad. Then flying back into the UK on Saturday (too damn early!) to go and watch the Conference Playoff Finals at Wembley!! Exeter City vs Morecambe, on Sunday, got 2 tickets and struggling to find anyone to take up the other seat so far, don't suppose you know any fans of the beautiful game who fancy a trip to the new stadium? Hehe. So I'm gonna be slumming it round London all day on Saturday after my flight gets in - I land at London City at 7.40am (!) - and again on Monday - I fly out from London City at 7.45pm - so give us a shout if you fancy a coffee / beer / whatever. S'cool if you're busy though, I'm sure I can amuse myself amongst the shops of our fine capital for a few hours :D Hows things with uni and stuff, getting pretty much done or still loadsa stress?

I've joined an ex-pat forum but most of the social stuff seems to go on in Zurich, it's only 30 mins on the train but just a pain in the arse to get to, would prefer some more local stuff. Problem is the stuff in Zurich is "5-a-side football", "Mid week drinks at X bar", "such and such concert who's going?" The stuff in Zug is "Friday morning coffee"...it's just not the same, is it...

Can I Get Away With Pul…	May 11, 2007 10:19 AM Yeah it's picking up gradually...found the Old City last night and sat and had a quality italian meal watching the sunset over the lake, much better than stuck in a concrete maze going from hotel - office - hotel (!) Had a look at a flat today as well, got a balcony and a sun terrace, and it's pretty ma-hoo-sive as well which is nice...have filled in the form to get myself a chance of renting it :D So yeah, overally things are looking better. Plus the famous BBE is coming over here for a visit on the 20th June for a week, so I gotta stay til then at least... ;)
Can I Get Away With Pul…	May 8, 2007 1:03 PM Hey there old man, Things so far are about 10%, I guess they can only get better so I think I need to stick it out...but having been here 4 days, my gut reaction is, "sod this, get your ass back to Devon"...which isn't a glowing recommendation I'm sure you'll agree. The swiss have fairly strict sound reg's, no music etc after 10pm, which is pretty crap as most of my stuff falls out of my head at 3am and I have no opportunity to do that here now...guess I'll have to kick the body clock forward a few hours hey :D So yeah I'm pretty negative about it all at the moment, I'm sure something decent will happen at some point to change my mind, not sure what like. How's the land of fun and sunshine?

Taylor-Lind	May 7, 2007 3:11 PM maybe we could do a trade as I got two copies of a lmtd black mountain 7" which has the best Bside I have heard in years?(it was sooooo good I had to buy two copies) hmmm whats not to like about welsh folk, seriously!! basically I am doing my dissertation on joe boyd, his publishing company(warlock) put together a publishing demo of songs by their artists to pass round to other publishing companies to generate interest in warlock(this was back in 1970) its STUPIDLY rare as only about 100 were made, it features elton john and linda thompson, apparently when elton john gave all his records to chartity he kept back two, the warlock demo being one of them. so that elton john demo of a nick drake song you have is extremely relevant to my dissertation!! plus a BIG suprise for me! yea basically snagged everything off of your harddrive but am going through it now and taking off(from my own computer that is) what I dont like problem is is that I like most of the stuff that you have!!! oh and got the interview by blagging via an email address!!!
