We stop at 7-8 restaurants through our 3 day weekend there. Once you pull in and dock your boat, or grab a hotel room, you can walk to every hot spot on the island. One bar that was a big hit during our last visit was “The Big Owl” Tiki bar. It is located next to The Narrows Restaurant. You will need to walk out on a dock to get to it but can’t miss the canary yellow building. The Big Owl is a seasonal bar. They feature live outdoor music on the dock, a limited bar menu (fresh steamed shrimp and such), and a variety of beers, and mixed drinks. My wife and I were actually sent over to The Big Owl by a bartender at another bar. She told us to go over and have Jessica make us a Rum Punch. Her advice was spot on. We enjoyed a few punches, Jimmy Buffet and Eric Clapton music, and the company of several boaters that stopped in for happy hour. Our bartender was very friendly, and went out of her way to make our visit comfortable and tasty. 5 stars for the Rum Punch. It was definitely worth making the trip out to the hut. Must have... one of Jes’s Rum Punches! Reviewed by Tom Davidson.
