Both of my daughters (ages 16 and 14) read Spider's Song after I recommended it to them. They both really liked it and my 16-year-old said that she kept picturing Sam Elliott as Ed. If they ever make a movie of the book, I would be fully in favour of that casting. ;)

Anita, how is your writing going. I was wondering. At the guild you showed us this book about a boy who can't eat and a girl who wouln't eat. I forget the name. It was like Mrs. Zephines Journal or something. It would mean alot to me if you could tell me.

HI Anita, exciting days indeed. We're so happy the wee yin will be born in the middle of winter so he/she can grow into the summer. And yi seem to be having an exciting time yirsel: sparking on the creativity front, hanging out with daughter and cuddies. my other news is that i'm writing poetry again. I regard myself first and foremost as a poet, but there has been so little time these last couple of years. But now the dam (or damn!) has burst in my head and evey second I get i'm getting a line or a stanza down. which is great fun. Cheers & catch yi later Canadian Cousin Type Person Dude - Rab :-)

The pleasure is all mine Anita. My daughter is all growed-up now, so the excuse is gone, but I must get a look at Spider's Song - for myself. :-)

Have a super week...

Anita, so far, my birthday has been occupied with the three new cats we adopted to go with the big poofy orange cat we already had. One of the new ones just jumped up on my lap making typing now a little more difficult. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Hey, Anita. Just dropping by to say hi, and to give you a heads up on my blog. I use it for the sole purpose of posting my short stories. Perhaps there’s one you’ll enjoy.

Anyway, have a better one than yesterday, but not as good as tomorrow.

Hi Coz, how you doing? HUGE apologies for not being out of touch. It's been a roller coaster couple of months. The storytelling suddenly went ballistic - which is exhausting but great fun. But of course the bestest news is that we're having a baby in December. Yay!. So hows things over in Canada? Did your book launch go well? Hugs & happiness, Rab :-) xxx

Hi Anitia, not current plans to visit BEC, but you never know...

BTW, with the Requiem for an Assassin tour about to start, I'm not going to be around MySpace as often. But you can find me on my website discussion board at http://www.barryeisler.com/forum. It's a fun forum with a lot of interesting people talking about the Rain books, politics, single malt whisky, and anything else that strikes people's fancy, so if you have a chance, why don't you stop by and say hello? It would be good to see you there.

Cheers,
Barry

If you're around for one of these events, come on by -- it would be great to see you!
