Loving "DGYB" very much...thanks for sharing. I see you're playing Joe's Pub which got me a bit excited (i won't be there) as i used to work there some years ago. Around that time i saw you perform on the same block. The name of the venue escapes me now but what a great show it was. Also saw you here in VA with the Catherine Wheel. ‘Boteco’ is an artful mixture of neo-futuristic traditional Brazilian rhythms with the right quantity of the best North American spices. It is funk and rock boiling and baking with samba, maracatu, frevo and baiao.

Put Pele and Mohammed Ali in a fictional mix machine. Now add Frank Zappa, Sergio Mendes, Tom Jobim and Roger Waters and fused in to one. What a mix eh?
Bat Makumba is this fusion, multiplied by 2.
