Thanks so much...  I'm glad to know you could hear the Floyd and Radiohead influences.  They are definitely there - I love both of those bands so much  :)  I try to do my own thing with my own flavor, but I am glad to know my favorite bands can be heard somewhere in there.

Yeah man, strumming w/ my right hand just feels strange. The only guitar teacher I ever had spend the first 2 lessons yelling at me and telling me he couldnt teach lefties. I quit his lessons after that haha Its still hard finding good lefties. Every shop has one or two, but they sound like hell. Big Doyle, actually, told me about a lefty shop down in Houston, Southpaw Guitars.....wow! That place is awesome, they got so many GOOD lefties.
I dont even waste my time at other places anymore

You think Paul might have a copy?! When I talked to Denny awhile back, I kinda got the impression that he didnt even know of anyone who had it......... but then again, Paul is a DJ, and they have their tricks haha

I took the Paul Ray pics last December, at the reunion show, but the only camera I own is a cell phone camera, and the Continental is so dark inside to begin w/, they didnt turn out as well as I'd hoped
I drove down to Austin from CO specifically for that show. Since I'm not 21 yet, I had to call in a million favors from a million different people to be able to get in, and then, when I finally get there, there was a bit of a communication breakdown, and I ended up having to watch the first 3 songs from the sidewalk outside! haha Ah well, makes for a good story I guess.
Finally did get in though haha
DB2 is incredible! I always like watching guitarists, try to nab some of their riffs, but young Doyle twists my mind in knots. He plays w/ the little e on top (I play big E on top) so he plays just a C or something, and it looks like the most foreign thing in the world. I actually might be going to see him next week (fingers crossed) if I can get ahold of that same club manager again.


Thats really awesome about Paul being your cousin. So you grew up in Dallas too? Ever go to Jimmy's Club? haha I've heard some things about that place. Anyway, I was looking at your profile today, and saw you have that Cobras 45! Almost had a heart attack haha I'm a huge fan of the other guitarist from that band, Denny Freeman, and have been dreaming of hearing that thing. I've never even heard of anyone who has a copy...... its harder to come by then hens teeth.
You wouldnt by any chance, happen to have digitized it, would you?

Anyway, SD and LA couldnt have been that bad of places to be haha. Did you work out there as a musician, or.......

Just getting around to catching up on MySpace messages.

Again, I'm sorry to hear about the Skipster. I'm sure it was difficult seeing his health declining. Luckily my 3 are in good health and happy but I know eventually, there's gonna be a day.... And I'm really not looking forward to it either.

Yeah it's warmed up here a bit. Nashville typically gets whatever weather Tulsa gets, only we get it about 24 hours later. I think today (Tuesday) is supposed to be in the low 80s, which might surpass the record high temp for this day set back in the late 1800s. Before long it will be time to use the ceiling fans. The trees are just starting to bud now in my yards.

How was NSU's celebration??

I haven't brewed in about 2 years. I know, a CRYIN' SHAME!! I recently wanted to get back into it pretty heavy, but when I checked prices for brewing ingredients, I was shocked to see the prices have skyrocketed! Hops are about twice what I used to pay for them, and grain is up roughly 50%. Apparently there was a bad growing season or two world-wide for this stuff, so supply of quality ingredients is pretty thin.
But hopefully when prices go back lower I'll be brewing up a storm.

Have you been to any of the ARENA shows? I'm gearing up for the 4th and 5th show this year. He's finally coming home before the year is up. Sellersville,Pa on the 22nd (on Letterman) and New Years Eve in Philly. I am so psyched!!!!
