hey, really just getting to know a band or having bands approach you is how we have gotten the majority of our LA gigs... it's definitely a harder market to break into, but start at the bars, probably more low end ones here and there, work your way up like any other profession, establish more contacts, and before you know it, you'll be playing at the Troubador with your friends that play in that other band that's headlining... that's how it has worked out for us
