MY PORTRAIT OF A FRIEND

I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts,
or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will
search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be.
That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.
But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.
There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.

constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.
So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.
Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

The Turkey shot out of the Oven

The turkey shot out of the oven
and rocketed into the air,
it knocked every plate off the table
and partly demolished a chair.

It ricocheted into a corner
and burst with a deafening boom,
then splattered all over the kitchen,
completely obscuring the room.

It stuck to the walls and the windows,
it totally coated the floor,
there was turkey attached to the ceiling,
where there'd never been turkey before.

It blanketed every appliance,
it smeared every saucer and bowl,
there wasn't a way I could stop it,
that turkey was out of control.

I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure,
and thought with chagrin as I mopped,
that I'd never again stuff a turkey
with popcorn that hadn't been popped

Hello Everyone !! How are you ?
The other day I was in my car when suddenly I heard WYWG on Virgin Radio ... Well it was 3a.m but it's good to see that they don't forget them.
I've made some research and I found that Virgin Radio does exist in UK too .
So here I am asking you : Why don't we contact them to organize an European Tour or something . Since there is nothing happening in Europe, maybe it's time for us to do something ... What do you think ?

While I was looking around in a local bargain shop, I felt very lucky to hear The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go" on the radio. I don't know which radio station played it, but it's absolutely great that this song is still being played exactly six years later after it was first released in the UK in 2002. It makes a change hearing The Calling on the radio because I thought that they only play current UK chart music like Duffy, Rihanna etc. Hayley Leah, Manchester, England.
