Friends of the CBC

Dec 18, 2007 4:56 PM

Thanks for being a Friend of the CBC. This group is not owned or operated by the CBC, it is a part of publicbroadcasting.ca and is for people who want to keep up with and occasionally stand up for their CBC. There is also a Friends of the CBC group on Facebook and the Friends of the CBC homepage at http://cbc.publicbroadcasting.ca/.

You also may be interested in the campaign to persuade the CBC to give Radio 3 (and Canadian indie music) a national television show and the Canadian Renaissance Project, a campaign to persuade the Canadian government to pass a series of tax initiatives which would make it easier for Canadian artists of all stripes to make a living as full time artists.

Cheers!
Justin

Okay, I'll write the first comment.
Welcome to MySpace!
A bit of shameless self-promotion in the way of current writing news:
My story "Airport Shoes" has been sold to Strange Horizons for fall publication.

A story which must remain unnamed will appear in Zencore: Nemonymous Seven, the UK based anonymously authored antho series edited by Des Lewis. Lewis is running a fun promotion in which readers who can pair stories with their authors (both of which are listed, but not together) receive a free copy of the book, which has the wonderful subtitle Magic Reality.

I might have got that wrong. Mr. Lewis himself can explain it better to those who are interested:

www.myspace.com/weirdtongue
or the Wikipedia entry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemonymous

Also, I'm on Paul Toth's excellent podcast show:

http://tothnews.libsyn.com/

Wish I knew how to make those links live, but alas, I don't.

I could learn how, I suppose, but I have to get back to work now.
Writing, that is.
