We did that for an album or two, and you have to be INCREDIBLY careful that no ink or paint, not even a fine mist, gets on the underside, or your songs will skip. securing them to cardboard is so difficult.

diggin the drum sounds and drip sounds in the two newest pieces. the spoken word delivery reminds me of Slim Moon, an artist on K Records whom you should seek out perhaps. he's not on myspace, though, sorry.

i'm borrowing it from ryan pavlovich in perpetuity. he will eventually sell it to me, most likely, as i am giving it much use. i then will break it and have to buy a new one. it costs around $200, maybe a little less. it's a green LINE 6 loop/delay pedal.

try recording a drum track first and then erasing it later. that way, you're playing to a consistent rhythm. other than that, get used to some irregularity. it's your humanity, baby.

"grody to the max" is the best technically, but the others are incredibly funny too. when do you start performing in front of audiences? or behind them? also, so glad the new mic works. also, love the quote: "lo and behold, i see a fat hoe!"

i was telling eleanor today about how indians lived here before people from europe came, and that indians would hide behind trees and try to throw sticks or stones at deer to kill them and eat them. she looked me right in the eyes and said, "that's ridiculous." no shit, she just was NOT into that story.
