Hey Bron, you look and sound just as beautiful as I remember from the Gizzy days. Must be more than 5 years now... Saw you on that ad. We're in the middle of recording the first MetalTower album at the moment, check out our demo
here
. We're coming up to Aucks on Saturday for Daniels Bday and next Monday or Tuesday to record a song for an NZ metal compilation. Maybe we could find you. Damn your voice is beautiful, I've almost got tears welling up. Hope to see you one day soon.

THURSDAY 6th SEPTEMBER
GREIG COWAN
Canadian born singer songwriter thats keen as mustard for his debut performance down at AE. Ive had a good listen to his demo and Im real impressed at his guitar playing and (Tom Pettyish) vocal. Sweet as music, that I will enjoy sitting back to, relaxing and contemplating all that is good in the world. Think Neil Young or an unplugged Pearl Jam. What's more he's local so get in and see what he's about.
REDWOOD www.myspace.com/redwoodnz
A dude and his guitar. Now this is something a bit different. Brad Taylor forms the basis of this musical outfit that I reckon bear a little resemblance to that band Clannad. You know, the one that had that tune... 'Rooooobin, the hooded man.' No? Nevermind. Soft tunes with a smoothe soft vocal telling dark tales of life. Splendid listening. They're coming a fair way to play at AE as well, Tauranga I think. Bless em.
CURIOUS TEA www.myspace.com/curioustea
"Every rose has it's thorn!!" Just as the 'Tea' rocked out last time they appeared at AE back in July. It's the return of my good mate Jono to give us a set of acoustic rock that I reckon we all need. He's told me that he'll be teaming up with Nigel Kapa again and that maybe we might even be blessed with the rest of the 'Tea's' crew....Rusty??? Its simple with Curious Tea...Rock n Roll. Hard at work in the studio recording their album, this will be a chance to perform some of the tracks from it. Tunes like 'Gas station girl' and 'ok'. Whats best is, they mean it.
LEO
This is the return of the stunning Leo. She played at our opening night if I recall correctly and now she's comin back. Hailing from Auckland, Leo has one of those beautiful soft, crisp voices that shut a whole pub up with a virtual whisper. I know this cos that's what she did. Think Bic Runga, or brooke Fraser and you are on the right track. She's a bloody top lady as well

Hey! Music making slash liking person! Blogs are dropping like bombs on the kurb dot co myspace page! We just hoisted up an abridged version for light reading of the article
"Sex, drugs and updating your blog"
that hit the New York Times on Monday and its another major read for people interested in indie music promotion. I’ve also got another good one from me coming up rounding up a whole lot of reading I’ve done recently on digipromo and vblogging. Kiwis also check our NZMM speshes!

Hi Bronwyn,
Always good to meet another kiwi muso. I like your soundz. Way different to mine but ain't it grand how diverse music can be?
Hope you get the chance to check out my tunes - you may like the rock thing more than the hip-hop thing - page down for the rock.
Stay true to your roots and may see you at the 'Arms one day soon.
Respect,
The Max.
