BATMAN MEETS DICK

This online tribute comic celebrates the characters that originally
brought crime to comics. Gotham's Dark Knight has a run in with
Chicago's finest as they both pursue Underworld's Gruesome. Last year
we presented the first half of the story by Mike Heronime and Tom
Davidson. Now PositiveBrand concludes the story with Mike Heronime and Kirk

I wanted to share the news that I've been accepted into the Amazon Shorts program. This is an initiative through Amazon.com where the reader can download an author's work for only $00.49. Amazon.com will store the story for you in a digital locker, email it to you in the body of an email, and also email it to you as a PDF.

My first story is called "Dr. Nekros: The Tragedian." Dr. Nekros is the lead character in a serialized storyline who is a ghost hunter pursuing the demon that disfigured him, all while trying to avoid his ex-wife. Check it out here.

Are you, like me, fed up with every one wanting to know everything about you when applying for art competitions, awards and commissions?

Ask yourself:

Is you C.V. relent to your work?

Do you want your work judged on it's merits or on a how well you push the buttons with your mission statement?

Do they really need to know all these things about you in order to decide if your work is what there looking for?

Is it any of there business how old you are or where you lived when you were five years old?



I for one will no longer send my C.V. or mission statement any more and I urge all of you to do the same. Why have we the artists allowed this corporate bull shit to enter into our life's? We are the driving force of the art world and should not just dance to the tune of people that want to tell us what to produce.

My freedom from this type of bureaucratic crap is what helps me to create and I'm not going to play there game any longer.

Next time your applying for anything tell them you feel your C.V. and mission statement are not relevant and will not be sending any. If enough of us get behind this we can stop it!
