Barb	Sep 1, 2008 7:57 AM Sarah IS who I thought Barack WAS before the myspace fiasco. She has been to Iraq. Has a son serving there. Is very aware of climate change (as apposed to man caused global warming) as Alaska has the longest coastline in the country. Many of our coastal communities are having to look at physically moving as the sea is encroaching. Especially Shishmaref. Our glaciers are melting at exponential rates. The Arctic Sea is nearly ice free in the WINTER. The tundra is melting. She is aware of the impact of high energy prices on the average household as she just pushed thru the legislature a $1200 energy relief grant to every Alaskan to offset high energy prices this winter. This will be especially crucial in rural Alaska above the tree line where there are no trees for fuel, and its too remote for the electric or gas companies. I and many others were dismayed at first as we don't want to see her go, but if McCain wins, she will be a tremendous asset to this country. Our loss with definitely be the country's gain. She has the same type of appeal as Princess Diana had. She is so genuine. And is just as likely to show up unexpectedly in a classroom as at high powered functions.
