Stop the Chevron Oil Refinery Expansion
Body: We are having a march and rally against the chevron refinery expansion.
We are asking the greater bay area to come out and show support against the proposed expansion of Chevron Richmond Refinery-this expansion is to refine thicker-dirtier bottom of the barrel crude oil in Richmond!
This saturday November 10th at 12 noon
Richmond BART marching to Chevron Refinery
we urgently need a driver and if possible a bus or van to transport elders and disabled folks who want to be part of the march, but whose mobility is limited-if you can help out please contact Jessica Tovar 415-596-3517(c)

You guys protest the governments propaganda, yet you are guilty of the same sin. Much of this information is not the whole truth. For example, you protest the Iraqi Oil Bill, yet you dont mention that part of the bill, which I have personally read and read many interpretations of, states that part of the money made must be put in an account and either distributed to the Iraqi people or put into government projects that benefit the people. The government also has the right to claim any oil finds for itself and they get first dibbs on the oil pipelines. Also, If Saddam didn't sell the oil he had, where the hell did it go? And how did he get so rich? The idea you spread that Saddam didn't "allow the world access to Iraq's oil" is simply ridiculous. This bill makes provisions to direct money to the people, and it requires Oil Companies to train and hire Iraqis. You make it sound like Saddam's government was looking out for the people, and we are simply exploiting them. This is a huge amount of misinformation, and yet you distribute it to people to brainwash them just as badly as the government does. I'm sure you will remove this post quickly, as you don't want any opposition to your version of the facts. However, I urge anyone who sees this to try to see the truth, the middle path that reality actually runs on. I welcome one to come to my myspace and give any input they want, as long as you keep it civil. I would love to discuss this with informed, intelligent people who take the time to learn the whole truth, not just the one the government or fanatics would like us to see.

thanks for adding a bit about Somalia in your bit about illegal wars. I think it's disgusting that we are paying Dyncorp mercenaries to prop up the U.S. backed warlords. I think that everyone concerned about this situation should read this article: http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/12/26/opinion/edlone.php
p.s. see you at the protest!
