With the possibility of rain on Sunday, we wanted to let everyone know that Earthbound's Earthfest is still occurring from 1pm to sundown, rain or shine. If it does rain, the concert will simply move indoors to Gable Square Saloon (803 9th Ct S, on the corner of 8th St. S). If it does not rain, Gable Square Saloon will still be open for business but the concert will take place in the adjacent Bessie Estelle Park as planned. Sunday, April 19, Earthbound http://www.myspace.com/earthboundweb will play a free outdoor concert called “Earthbound’s Earthfest” to help raise funds and awareness for Black Warrior Riverkeeper. Open to all ages, the concert will take place from 1pm to sundown in Bessie Estelle Park, within walking distance of UAB and adjacent to event co-sponsors Gable Square Saloon (803 9th Ct S) http://www.myspace.com/gablesquaresaloon and Giuseppe's Cafe (925 8th St S).

Throughout the afternoon and early evening, Earthbound and special guest Selling Mary http://www.myspace.com/sellingmary will play several sets, with environmental speeches by Black Warrior Riverkeeper and others between sets. Optional donations, t-shirt sales, and collectors’ cup sales will support Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s efforts to protect Birmingham-area water quality, recreation, public health, and wildlife habitat.
