DEAR JOSEPH is about Caregivers, individuals who are assigned to restore the broken frames of fallen lives. In this book, one such Caregiver is Mama Flo, who has been given the assignment of getting a bitter old man out of a wheel chair. Mama Flo must motivate a fallen hero back to his place of compassion and purpose. This book is also about an orphaned and windowed man named Joseph who struggles with the reality that he has been given the gift of having visions. These visions are prophetic and reveal lessons that take him back into time and hurl him forward into the future. The visions take him to the orphanage where he was placed in as a child. The visions help him to remember the lessons that power is corrupting and without God we are nothing. The visions take him to the festering African plans of a refugee camp where he learns about the most important gift life gives which is being able to be grateful. It is my prayer that Dear Joseph will provide a sense of healing and recovery in a fallen broken life. With much sincerity, for those who discover the extraordinary experience of reading Dear Joseph. I’m gonna dust off the ornaments, buy myself a real tree, and even finish my wish list. Then… I’m gonna send it to Santa and pray that he gets it. And I’m only gonna ask for things that I deem realistic. Like a woman who wants romance, likes to slow dance, and doesn’t mind being catered to just because I think she’s brilliant. This year I’m gonna be optimistic. I’m gonna hang my wreath back on the door, put the lights back up, then tell my family it’s safe to travel the distance. This year I won’t be a cynic. I’m gonna spice up the egg nog with some Henny, leave milk and cookies by the chimney; put on some Boys II Men or some Luther and have myself a listen. This year I’m gonna mimic… them white folks in them holiday movies that make me cry when they finish. You know the one, where the little boy “Ralphie” wanted the BB gun, then almost shot his eye out in a blizzard. This year I’m gonna get it… my very own Michelle Obama, she’ll say “F” the drama, and we’ll have each others back no matter come with it. But most of all this year I’m not gonna be timid. I’m gonna hang the mistletoe all throughout the house, hold my FIRST LADY tightly in my arms on the couch… then I’m gonna admit it. This is the best Christmas ever, and even better now that she’s in it. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
