The latest edition of my podcast music
show is part one of a two-part interview with Phil Mercy and
Amy Darby, respectively the guitarist and lead singer with terrific
UK-based creative rock group, Thieves' Kitchen. This first part focuses
on music from the first three of the band's four albums and you'll hear
fascinating insights from both Phil and Amy.
The show is available as ever from
http://www.epilepticgibbon.co.uk
The second part of the interview will be available in about a week's time.

That's horrible news about Phil. It puts our line-up problem in perspective.
Here's wishing him a speedy recovery and a return to action for the band. Perhaps the extra writing time will mean that the fifth album is the best yet!

See you in 2009!!!
"It is difficult not to believe that the next year will be better than the old one! And this illusion is not wrong. Future is always good, no matter what happens. It will always give us what we need and what we want in secret. It will always bless us with right gifts. Thus in a deeper sense our belief in the New Year cannot deceive us".
Kersti Bergroth (1886-1975), Finnish writer and playwright

Nice to listen to good music and a good old friend, who once taught me a lot about the mellotron.
Back then in 1993, I told him about this special sound, that I loved but had no idea what kind of instrument created the sound...
Back then, Thomas told me all about the mellotron!
