what kind of guitar does the guitarist play? It sounds kinda hollow body-ish like an ES 335 or maybe just a really twangy strat. Not sure but it sounds pretty cool.

(I think) it's all about texture. It's not a song, and it's not music. I can't say I like most free jazz at all - but as far as creating new textures, sometimes I need the reminder that such a thing can be done.

It's like a painting that I'm glad I saw once, but I have no desire to hang it on my wall.

The show was fun - a bit dizzying - at least I got to hear an intresting way to use all those Zvex boutique pedals in use.

In the end, I'll stick to melodies and songs over noise and chaos. That's a whole 'nother argument, though -
