hey, sorry! my computer was freezing up.
It never does that. I hope nothing's wrong with it,
it's been good to me.
I just said basically, yeah, Black Morning Hippy Light kinda suck
and goodnight and stuff.
Here is a parting gift, one of the first things I taped.
Pretty much the reason I bought the camera (plus 3 other reasons):

ROLAND TOPOR
His art is the basis for the animation of one of my favorite films,
this french animated movie LE PLANET SAUVAGE (Fantastic Planet)..

The show went well I think.
My friends and I taped large portions of the show, the majority..

I'll have to get a copy of one of them...soon.

Did you ever read his Charley Patton essay?

Those are all great. Right now, I've been listening to After The Ball and The Yellow Princess.

Aaron

Sep 17, 2009 10:02 PM

Indeed, we do like the same things.

I see you've read 'How Bluegrass Music Destroyed My Life'... I've been meaning to get a copy, but I'll ask you - Is it good?

And while I'm at it, do you have a favorite Fahey album?

Oh. I heard he was leaving, but I had no idea when. I guess a bit sooner than expected...

In case you're interested, I put my music online for free at http://music.beveragestuff.net
That would be awesome, by the way! Just let me know where/when if there's ever a time I could appear.

Minimalism The Band!

Aug 30, 2009 3:08 AM

I sent FAA another e-mail, asking if they could fit me in another show sometime. I'll let you know if anything comes of that, though you might know as soon as I do if you're in touch with that sort of thing. Shame you missed it, out of the three shows I've had the opportunity to play, that was my favorite!
Minimalism The Band!

Aug 30, 2009 2:08 AM

Sorry to never have replied, I quit work as Minimalism The Band!, but yes, you are correct - I am Beverage! It was cool to see you at my show at the Library, but I felt it would be a bit strange if I said "Oh hey, are you Sarah Bachman?" I sort of pieced that together while I was there and you were talking with Nick Maupin. Great to hear from you!

yeah, ive been collecting for 3 or 4 years,
i can relate on not really having a focus,
but when i go into a record shop, i find myself going
straight for the, world music, experimental,
avante garde, and jazz sections first.
currently ive been giving myself collecting ambitions,
like finishing someones discog on records.
such as im mostly focused right now on caroliner records,
&i have felt really inspired recently to just
complete the residents discog in my collection.
however
sun ra's complete discography is my life goal.

but the medium is never my love, its for the music.
i just love the intimate experience records bring to music,
when you drop the stylus into the groove, you are actively listening to a record, its not some random mp3 playlist you listen to while you wash the dishes and twitter at the same time. not to mention the capability of getting thee beest sound from your records is entirely up to you. i love that.

just be careful, sometimes records and music can seem more important than most neccesitties, and you can find yourself spending alot more time alone, as it can be a very loner activity. luckily for me i have my wife to remind me to eat and listen to music with me. haha.

anyways, take care lady.

Yeah of course man. I'm gonna sell out, make a number 1 album and go live in Europe somewhere, where I'll spend my days being a rich dickhead, drinking my imported whiskey, smoking my imported cigars and jerking off to greyscale photographs of Betty Page.

Thats awesome dude, I draw constantly and paint a bit, but cooking is impossible for me and I certainly cant sew. We should fuse together DBZ style and become some kind of Super Artist :-D

You'd just laugh if you came here seriously, its like everyone here tries to imitate american pop culture. Like for instance, if you have a dark complexion, you walk around thinking your Dr Dre and calling everyone "Niggah" and shit.. and if your a dumb white girl with blonde hair, your Paris Hilton. Then if your a dumb white guy with blonde hair, you get around thinking your Kurt Cobain. It's fucking gross. People wear 'Hooters' T Shirts, and we dont even have a Hooters over here.

What kind of art do you do?

Australia:

A dumping ground for refugees, founded by Englands rejects. We have no culture because we killed off most of the native people and the ones that survive have been sedated with drugs and prejudice. Australia essentially is a pathetic excuse for a smaller, hotter America. There is nothing ok about Australia. It's not even a nation, its just a lapdog for other nations. There is no "Gday mate" and nobody cooks shrimp on a bbq (a shrimp would shrivel to nothing on a bbq, it simply doesnt happen).

In conclusion, Australia is the land where I was born and currently live. I am by no means satisfied with living in a land run by old, stupid, greedy, spineless white men. Australia is shit.

Whats your land like?
