I developed a phobia of moths stemming from my teenage years when the bathroom light was left on all night one night and the window open...the shower was full of about 20 moths in the morning and I got in with them! Eurrrggghhh!!! I don't like the sound of their clunky bodys crashing into the light fittings either...but I'm nearly over it now (I think).

Hello Reg :-)
If you want to tick the Black Grouse, then Alston Moor is the place to head for. We have 80% of the population here, I see them most days. Great area for bird watching here in the North Pennines, really is worth the visit.

I have already thought about this, in fact i searched for a picture of him on the internet to add to my wall of shame but could not find one that i was happy with.
I will look again and add him asap with the obligatory witty remark attached.

Thanks so much for commenting about it on my page, I'd just logged in after a busy morning so this was the first I'd heard of it.

How are you? Hope all is going well with you and you are enjoying your week. I can‘t believe that soon the leaves will be changing color like the photograph below I took in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last September on a birding excursion of mine. The landscape there is breathtaking in person and it makes one appreciate it’s sereneness and this beautiful world we live in.
I am also very honored and grateful to have a friend like you. Have yourself a wonderful upcoming weekend.

Happy Memorial Day!
I would have liked to had the beautiful bright orange of the Baltimore Oriole in my picture collage to share with you, but I haven’t had luck getting a decent photo of one yet. I will be sure to share it with you once I do. Hope you have enjoyed the gorgeous colors of May and the dawn chorus of our feathered friends as much as I have!
