Only Love Can Set You Free---"I was headed for neurotic 'til I saw she was psychotic, Heaven help me, it was love that set me free" On the other hand, finding love can heal. Excellent song! Massimo Del Pozzo's (Mass) band The Others assist with this cut (****)Good Morning Dear Elena---"You are the moon as the ocean seeks the shore" The 12-string guitar is really effective on this cut. There is a great "Badfinger-like" feel throughout the song---great pop.
Theme Dream (Link) & Theme From The Struggle---good instrumental
Been There Done That---"just set your sights and make the call"---Good rocker that stresses the fact that you are born at Point A, you die at Point B, and you kick ass in-between. Go for it!
Angel's Reach---"angels reach for our fellow man" We're all in it together
Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death---"ghost of Patrick Henry waits outside the secret room" This final track is an ambitious 9 minute opus that begins with President John F. Kennedy being sworn into office, and spans the volatile times of the 60's through President Nixon's resignation. The news commentary and climactic political moments of that decade and first half of the 70's melds perfectly into the music and lyrics to create a mini-masterpiece of "THE 60's." It is "The Wind" of the CD.

Struggle For Fortune---"Kings and Queens and Pharaohs lie naked, dead, and on display" You can't take it with you and Mankind is your business, as the saying goes
Back To Istanbul---"Moslem and Christian meet at Hajia Sofia" Treat others as you would have them treat you. Craig stated, "Recorded 3 Years Before 9/11" Great sitar!
For The Ones You Love---"It only matters that you put things right, before the ones you love fade..." Take the time to say "I love you" to those in your life that you should. Life is short. Focus on what really matters
Fine Surprise---"Love can still be found, if you'll only give it half a chance" Never give up on the good things in life, including love. That is the only thing that never dies. Excellent pop song! (****)Full Moon On The Mississippi---"Mayflys in August swarm 'round, rats on the tracks chase old hobos arond box cars, the paddle-wheeler's New Orleans bound" Recorded in Memphis, TN It's an ode to growing up along the mighty Mississippi in Keokuk, IA
Weeping Willow---"Giving up on love, certain there was nothing left for me" Love the chimes at the beginning!
Looking For The Silver Lining---"How can you hope that it's all for the best when another lonely day is a better guess" It hurts to lose someone that you loved. Life can hurt. The beautiful string arrangement was scored and conducted by GONN member Dr. Gerald Gabel
Only Love Can Set You Free---"I was headed for neurotic 'til I saw she was psychotic, Heaven help me, it was love that set me free" On the other hand, finding love can heal. Excellent song! Massimo Del Pozzo

Only Love Can Set You Free-Craig Moore
A songwriter in the truest sense of the word is a poet. The lyrics can make the music into a scrapbook of life's lessons and events; good or bad. Blend that with various forms of rock music (garage fuzz, pop, hard rock), add strings, sitars, historical news commentary, ample pictures and liner notes and you have Craig Moore's newest CD release called STILL TOMORROW YESTERDAY (2004). The music was recorded in three different countries (USA, England, & Italy), and at different times over the last several years. The effort also involved such great musicians as Chris Dreja, Jim McCarty, Gery Gabel, & Massimo Del Pozzo.
The songs are quite varied in style, but all contain Craig's vocal energy and passion, with thoughtful and intelligent lyrics. The playlist and my review:
Still Tomorrow Yesterday---"Now is then and so are we" starts the kick-off cut. Life's endurance through all times and staying true to your self. Never give up on your dream. Great song! (****)
Twenty-One---"At 21, I thought I knew it all" Isn't THAT the truth! The older I get, the more I realize I don't know. It reminds me of Alice Cooper's "Eighteen" Hard Rockin' cut
Faceless Man---"maybe he's just a disillusioned man, who wished he hadn't made it back from Vietnam" A nod to all the homeless and forgotten people, many who fought for our country!
Struggle For Fortune---"Kings and Queens and Pharaohs lie naked, dead, and on display" You can't take

Hey Craig, good to see you in my spaceland. Although our paths have crossed many times, I feel we realy never got to know one another.
Thanks many years ago for allowing me to interview you as part of my ISU TV Production Class project. You know I have a copy of that show and you might find it interesting. I also have a copy of Strawberry Fields 1990 where you and Mike Isenberg played and MC'd.
I sent Mike a copy last year. Would you be interested in a copy?
Some favorite memories include singing George Jones's Race Is On with you at City Limits downtown Peoria before the club opened for the night. I think Darin Bloomfield's band was playing and we were there early.
I got on Darin's drums and we also played Elvis's One Night. Do you remember that?
Singing Give Peace A Chance with you at the end of the Lennon show was fun too. AND.....I always loved that radio show you did back in the 80's called YESTERDAY'S PAPERS.
I first saw you play at Sgt Pepper's in 1977 or 78 with EYES and you did that song HOT SHIT!!!! cool.
Anyway, good luck to you. Visit my space sometime and stay in touch.
Always a fan, Darren

GONN's 1996 "With The Wind" CD
I highly recommend this collection of originals and remakes to all 60's garage rock fans and collectors. The lyrics to the magnum opus (IMHO) of "With The Wind" could be the autobiography to ANY 60's garage band that is more popular now (worldwide) than 35 years ago! Here it is:
"Sometimes the smallest things can shine like the sun
Young man dreams of a life lived on the run
Hangin' out with the band makin' noise and chasin' girls
Sure as the sun will rise, they'll soon rule the world
Fame and fortune can't be that hard, they saw it on TV
Grow your hair and play guitar, get your kicks for free
Strangers met and wishes made, driven by the will
Innocence and energy see the dream fulfilled
Make a record, play a gig, live like there's no tomorrow
Time's a-changin' and youth's a-fleetin'
Make believe there was no sorrow
Lucky ones may find in time somebody cares
Join together and listen close, your name is in the air
You might hear your name in the wind
You might see your name written in the shifting sands
You might hear your song on the wind
You might see years go by before you appreciate the time that you had
