In Other Words, Portland's non-profit feminist bookstore and community resource center, and the Rock’n’Roll Camp for Girls, will host a midnight book release party to celebrate Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, on Friday, July 20th at In Other Words (8 NE Killingsworth Ave.)
The event will feature a special reading, treats, and performances by local RRCG-affiliated bands Killer Llamas and Coffee Shop. The event starts at 8pm. Books will be distributed at midnight. Tickets are available for a $5 donation.
IOW is the ONLY non-profit women's bookstore in the country, and are partnering with Rock Camp for this fun, family-friendly event. Your donation and book purchase benefit these two community organizations that support women and girls. This event promises to be fun for readers of all ages, and much livelier than a trip to the mall.
You can pre-purchase your copy and pick up your book the minute it's released,at 12:00am, Saturday July 21st.
