Eat your meat? Pretty disgusting post Josef. You assume an air of intelligence though lacking in knowledge of how much land is needed to raise animals, the pollution involved, the water usage, giving no regard for the captivity of animals, and the abuse relationships within species, like a mother to its children and having no idea about the stimulation of demand for a product already very much in demand that propagates the most disgusting abuses for fleeting taste sensations. It is tragic that you manage to read this book but choose to ignore all the scientific facts behind the realities I've presented to you. That you would post on my page without first talking to me is pretty shoddy of you if I were to regard you as a friend. Shameful really. There are many vegans living very full, youthful lives. You know they exist, you went to the London vegan festival, but you never had the capacity to try it. Veganism today remains the best solution to many of the worlds problems including loss of land, deforestation of the rainforest, the release of greenhouse gases and global warming, land and water pollution and world hunger. You being 'so well read', how do you not know all this? I know you want to do good in this world, so more research for you, please.

{03/04/09} - Needleandthread spring hop..
jamm bar, 261 brixton road, sw9 6lh..
9pm till late..
£5 before 11pm, £6 after..

We be back.. arrh.. with a rather tasty gig..

The line up is likely to take the roof off Jamm with Speakers Corner Quartet at number one on the list. These guys have headlined the Jazz Cafe and opened for Herbie Hancock at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as working with some big names in hip hop.

In addition to this amazing headline, The Sound of Rum who are festival legends with lyricist Excentral Tempest at the helm, will also be on hand to build the vibes (Rob Da Bank is amongst there many fans). Plus Onyx Ashanti and Daisy Kelly Granger will add some serious funk and soul respectively.

In addition to the incredible live line up comes DJ support from the best around. DJ Snuff is a local hip hop legend, founder of first ‘Speakers Corner’ and then he English branch of the global hip hop movement ‘End of the Weak’. Another DJ who recently also re-launched a strand of a global network ‘Balkan Beats London’, DJ Malaka will be blending traditional folk from Eastern Europe with pounding dance music. Add Popcorn Charly and Drusus Germanicus to the line up and you have a funk fuelled, world eclectic vibe of top class music to take you into the early hours.

World Peace Before 2021A Child Peace Activist

Jun 6, 2008 6:58 PM

Dear Josef: Thank you for YourFriendship. My eight-year-old-peace-activist son Axil's quest for World Peace Before 2021 is gaining momentum! I'm so proud of him. Please embrace him AND his song "World Peace Before 2021" which he sings beautifully. His performance can be seen on MySpace, his webpage www. worldpeacebefore2021. com and/or YouTube (by searching his name Axil Kollist.) It is my intention to post a new video of him singing his song every few months so people can watch his talent grow as impressively as the momentum for his quest! I'm sharing two photos with you. The first is of my son distributing his free world peace bumperstickers and the second photo is of him singing his song “World Peace Before 2021” at Maui's Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Day Festivities in January 08. By all means, email Axil if you’d like him to mail you one of his free “World Peace Before 2021” bumperstickers. His email address is worldpeacebefore2021@hawaii.rr.com .Best regards, Axil Kollist’s mom

r.e. tory nice but dim being given charge of london, i am very dissapointed with london... the london evening zionist (standard) seems to have beaten us again and nobody seems to remember the lies they told about wmd or spotted the similarity in character to the "ken livingstone backed by suicide bombers" headlines... they seem to have got rid of their arch enemy with a repeated polite version of the headline "ken livingstone is a paki lover"... but then i suppose islamophobia is theirs to use as they have put SO much effort in creating it

if peace-not-war had half an ounce of dedication in it it would have been able to campaign that election... and win for ken... very easily... but then, we haven't even been able to promote the last 4 demo's never mind take part in a political campaign... meanwhile the hippy sections of the movement have been rendered null and void as a political force by the "Synergy Wars" so everyones more concerned with Steve Peake's theft of their intellectual property than the Tories theft of london

meanwhile, "the left wing" of London has been stuck coping with the splitting of Respect into two pieces from which it was already a split from the SWP and organising demos that get progressively smaller and then arguing about the usefullness of demos in general without realising these things can actually be used as political campaign platforms

so all in all the pragmatic right wing has been on the ball while the left has been trapped in ideology and fights and judgements on other sections of the left wing... most of them didn't even notice there was an election coming so engrossed were they in such battles.... as usual the peace movement spent more time fighting itself than any of the battles that were laid out on a plate for it and were very easily winnable

for my part, i spent the entire election campaign trying to get a printer working, i still haven't managed it

Worldwide Progressive M…

Apr 19, 2008 5:17 PM

Thanks for adding me. ¶ People hear only what they want, so facts alone won't wake them; they need inspiration too. ¶ This world's evils have a common root: Bullies, liars, thieves, & murderers — particularly those in public office — believe we're all separate, motivated only by self-interest, by greed & fear. They want us to share that belief; they use it to justify themselves, to manipulate us, to shape the world's political & economic systems, perpetuating war & poverty. ¶ But you & I have found something better inside ourselves & our friends. It's in everyone, if we can just wake them; we're all one flesh & blood. Let's spread that vision, for until we do our other advances will be minor & temporary. (I've been sending out emails to promote ideas by Lakoff, Waldman, & Hartmann about *how* to spread the word.) ¶ In the ideological struggle, no one can afford to be just a spectator. Join the movement, if you haven't already: get involved in whatever way feels right for you. Question authority. Keep fighting, loving, hoping, singing. Hand in hand, we may still be able to heal this world. ¶ For now, let's see if this meme will spread: "CLOSE GITMO BY BASTILLE DAY. PASS IT ON.
" ¶ Love, Eric
