I love you Ingrid! You are such an inspiration to me. Last night for speech class I gave my speech on why people should choose to go vegetarian. To my surprise, the girl who went right before me did hers on why you should support the beef industry (her family has been in the business for years.) Luckily I went after her so I had the last word! You would have been so proud. It was great, but I felt sort of bad for making her look like an ass...sort of, not really!

Hellooooooooo, Guess who ? Today was on the cool side and I did make a
cake for my Brother-law Bob he loves that homemade Carmel icing yuckie
it's rich but he wanted it on his cake ...He got it I loaded it up
giggle ...I also made some home made dulce de leche  couldn't find any
in any of the groceries stores....But could order on the internet but
paying the shipping charges is too much giggle I'm Sheep ! giggle
giggle ... I'm going in the poor house having my car worked on this
month ...someone hit my bumper and had to have that fixed a hit &
run so out of pocket then one gear went out had  a new transmission put
in ...plus a few other things so as Johnny Cash once said he was
building his one piece at a time and I am putting mine back together 1
piece at a time giggle wishing you a wonderful week-end be careful&

I will vote no On isssue two in Ohio!!!
1. Issue 2 seeks to stop animal welfare improvements. Agribusiness interests are trying to change the Ohio constitution so they can continue cruel and inhumane practices on factory farms—confining animals in tiny cages and crates so small they can’t even turn around. Issue 2 proposes an industry-dominated power grab to protect the status quo: hens crammed into cages so tightly they can’t even spread their wings, breeding pigs confined in tiny barren crates and calves chained by their necks inside veal crates. We wouldn’t force our pets to live in filthy, cramped cages for their whole lives, and we shouldn’t force farm animals to either. All animals, including those raised for food, deserve humane treatment.
2. Issue 2 threatens our food safety and health. Factory farmers have put our health at risk by recklessly telling us that it’s okay to keep animals in overcrowded, inhumane conditions. Cramming tens of thousands of animals into tiny cages fosters the spread of animal diseases that may affect people. For example, the American Journal of Epidemiology reported that people who eat eggs from hens confined in cages are 250% more likely to contract Salmonella. The extreme confinement of animals is also a major factor in the emergence of diseases like H5N1 and H1N1 (bird and swine flu). Passing Issue 2 would be bad for animals—and bad for us.
3. Issue 2 favors large factory farms, not Ohio’s family famers. Family farmers and groups like the Ohio Farmers Union and Family Farm Defenders oppose Issue 2 because they know that food quality and safety are

Update: Stray black dog who's friend was murdered by hit & run truck

Pictures I took today 10/22 Thurs. of the stray black dog whose best friend, another black male dog was purposely run over & killed by someone a white truck couple months ago in front of me & this dog who lost the only living thing he ever let near him. I took the pics through my front window screen, he's a lot further than it looks.

He's eating a bowl of kibbles & bits in front my house, always takes the food out the bowl & puts it on the ground before eating it. We built a cover over the bowl so the food doesn't spoil in rain, still won't come in garage to eat.

Little guy's gone underground, we think he stays under a small bridge that goes over a running stream that's partly on our property. He still hangs out in the cow pasteur across the road too. My husband says there's small hollow caves, nooks & crannies where he can protect himself from bad weather under the bridge.

He's not skinny anymore & is eating the food we put out for him daily. We still try to coax him but he runs like a wild coyote, he's become wilder.

My friends here followed this story since the other dog

I bring the good news that I filed a complaint against Gov.Terminator
(of pets)-that governor Schwarzenegger, for vetoing AB241 (the
anti-puppy mill bill which he said it is okay to keep 50 dogs or cats
on a single property)--I pointed out to the Dept of Health 50 or more
animals produces huge quantities of feces and urine and spreads
disease(s) to the community. THEY TOOK THE COMPLAINT!!!
