The work he does is for my children, I can raise them to be thoughtful and he can continue to show that it is necessary to follow our instincts and morals to preserve whats left of the precious wilderness we have. THE CRIMINALISATION OF CARING On June 11 2001, activist and campaigner Jeffrey Luers was sentenced to 22 years and eight months in prison for his part in setting ablaze three sport utility vehicles at a car dealership in Eugene, Oregon June 16 2000. Cruel and unjust his punishment may be, Jeff continues to fight on. Unfortunately his treatment is by no means unique. The state has not shrunk in recent years from using new and yet more extreme means of repression. Anti-terrorist legislation is being consistently used in targeting a broad coalition of environmental and animal rights groups across the United States. Reject their laws. Reject their system. Let's bring the real terrorists to account. In solidarity
