www.myspace.com/reso
"Powerful straight forward melodic rock; think Buffalo Tom, Cat On Form; or frustration, fire, passion, skinned knuckles, stained trousers, bruised ribs. Sometimes energy coupled with youth is enough!" - EVERETT TRUE, PLAN B

"A musical maturity far beyond their years...not afraid to try and push the envelope a little" - PUNKTASTIC.COM

"A mastery of dynamics and an intensity of sound that belies their 18 years of age" - TASTY FANZINE

+ DJ’s playing indie, rock, pop, 80’s and stuff that they happen to like! Aright?

Copper Pilot
www.myspace.com/copperpilot
Copper Pilot’s music well reflects the attitudes and personalities of its members, being genuine and to the point. The result is a set of aggressive indie pop-punk songs, with an ambient tinge, drawing on personal experiences, with each member adding their own influence. Live, David’s vocals, passionate and honest, float over a framework of catchy melody’s and often angular rhythms, creating a tangible sense of tension which is impossible to ignore. Intricately woven verses explode into sing-a-long choruses, all the time performed with a boundless energy and intensity.

Toy#1
www.myspace.com/toynumberone
four anti heroes combine their similar taste in heavy guitars, epileptic drumming and mathematical bass lines

+ DJ’s playing indie, rock, pop, 80’s and stuff that they happen to like! Aright?

Witches + They Don't Sleep + Her Name Is Calla

Thursday 7th December
Big hair presents –the first Xmas slice
@ The Cellar, Oxford
www.myspace.com/thecellaroxford

Witches

www.myspace.com/witchesband
It’s a mark of good songwriting that their tunes are deceptively simple and eminently catchy, despite being so densely structured and rich. Nightshift

Intricate, layered arrangements, which allow xylophone, keyboard, bass, drums, vocals and each of the three guitars to rise and dip, and shine in all the right places. www.oxfordbands.com

Witches oeuvre is so comprehensively masterful, it's hard to call them a new band. Paul Carrera - Nightshift

I’m Joining you band!!!! - Jimmy Evil

Witches immediately leave many of us in rapture with their perfectly timed loud/quiet dynamic. M@@tack - www.oxfordbands.com

the schizophrenic nature of their sound makes them exciting to watch and impressively 'together' for a band at their first gig Simon Minter - OxfordBands.com

They Don’t Sleep
www.myspace.com/theydontsleep
They don't sleep but they do music and they do it damn good. Listening to the first demos of They Don't Sleep last year convinced us that this London band had lots of ability. Abilities developed since then until the production of this first ep: The Drawing Game.
The most simple-minded of us would qualify the band's music of piano post-rock or even of post-piano-rock or de post-rock with piano. An omnipresent piano without the least interlude constitutes the skeleton of the three songs of the ep. Thus the result if comparable to a mix of post rock a la Mogwai, the Mr Beast era, radiohead-y constructions, all of this joined by the best elements of the Constellation label, like on Face To The Floor where the singing very much inspired by Thee Silver Mt Zion is progressively replaced by a melody on the piano easy musically but without blame. Even more than the two other songs, the powerful The Eel's Foot grows on as the real success of The Drawing Game. The singing lets all the necessary place to the _expression of the instruments, especially a possessed piano mixed with guitars sometimes furious, sometimes passive.
They Don't Sleep represent, like The Strange Death Of Liberal England or Cats and Cats and Cats the rejuvenation of the English post rock scene at its best. Impressive beginnings for a self-produced band.

Her Name is Calla
www.myspace.com/hernameiscalla
"Lovingly hand-packaged in cream fabric we don't know if the pink stain on our copy is intentional or not. We can imagine them stitching it all together though, in a small house in the English countryside. Breeze rustling through the leaves outside the only distraction while, from a gramophone in the corner, plaintively plucked concoctions waft through the still cottage air. That is the sound of Her Name Is Calla. Quietly unimposing but with a grace, delicacy and occasionally foreboding that is more than adequate announcement of its presence. Peaceful background music perhaps but the type you can forget what you're doing and immerse yourself in.
in one line, lovingly hand-crafted compositions that spiral from your speakers on soft silk ribbons and envelope the receptive." NOREALLY.CO.UK, 2006
"Her Name Is Calla are doing something 99% more interesting than a lot of bands out there. Their sound is meticulous. Every chord is perfectly taut, every vocal howled like it was their last." SANDMANMAGAZINE.CO.UK, 2005
"An EP from Her Name is Calla is always a precious thing", TASTYFANZINE, 2006
"Instead, congrats to Her Name Is Calla for once again creeping up on us with the enchantingly haunted Hideous Box. More please." UNLIXES.LIVEJOURNAL.COM, 2006A
