I received the cd today as well after getting the download from Saddle Creek earlier this week. I've now played it 4 times...it's a wonderful album. The simple stripped down instrumentation lets the songs shine and speak for themselves...beautiful.

Thank you for add. Orenda Fink is one of my personal heroes. You know, "if you could meet anyone dead or alive...?" Orenda would top the list because she is a poetic genius who is a master at weaving words into memorable music. And that has provided me with more inspiration than any other single person over the past several years. If I could say one thing to her it would be this: Please keep writing -- you cannot possibly know how deeply you move some of us out here but we've been basking in it and wish to continue -- it is a good thing -- you are the ultimate model daughter. xx

Legalize It!




Tom Ammaniano (state assemblyman from San Francisco) just introduced a
bill into the state assembly to tax and regulate marijuana as we do
alcohol -- i.e., it would be legalized, taxed, and regulated.
Like
alcohol, sales would be limited to folks over 21, penalties would be in
place for dui, sale to minors, etc.
in other words, it sounds like the
right approach.
The bill's official number is AB390, and more info will probably be available soon at www. norml. org and www. mpp. org.





If you have a minute, call and/or email your state assembly person and
Senator to encourage them to support the bill.
You can look up their
contact info online based on your zip code:

Feel free to pass this along.
The bill is fighting an uphill battle
against a vast legacy of misguided and uninformed policy, and it will
only have a chance of passing if people speak up in favor.





This bill will provide California with one billion dollars of revenue each year (each ounce is taxed $50)




Do your part to help LEGALIZE IT!

just read about the Nov. 30 show last year in LA for Azure Ray. Was that a one-off or might there be a few more this year? If you are anywhere in western US, I would fly miles to see you perform :)
