FROM HIS MOTHERS WORDS!!!!!!.The Following is an account of what actually took place on February 12th, 2008, The day Jason Swift
was shot and killed by Pawtucket Police.
The words you read on this site come directly from Jason Swifts Mother Betty.
If you know Betty, you know she does not lie or exaggerate and if she says this is what happened then
you can bet your life this is exactly what happened.
We are by no means Police bashers or haters. Law enforcement officials do plenty of good for plenty of
people everyday. But just as we are not always right and don't always use best judgement, neither are
they. They are human and make mistakes like the rest of us.
This day I do believe they were wrong.
I know how people always talk of the dead like they were the greatest. They sometimes exaggerate
how that person really was. But in Jason's case there is no exaggeration.
He was a sweet and loving person. He was a very big boy, he was 6' 4" tall and close to 300lbs. He
was a gentle giant!
You can ask anyone that knew him. He went out of his way to help people whenever he could. The
problem was that Jason cared too much about the people he loved and held close to him.
He also didn't like how this country was being run and wanted changes. Don't we all!
Now I want to tell you what really happened on February 12th, 2008 because so many lies have been
told that it breaks my heart.
I also want to mention that Jason had a breakdown about 6 months earlier and had taken off to
Harvard Square.
He was preaching to people about how this world needed changes and that we all needed to help
change it.
I called the Massachusetts police and told them to be on the look out for him and that he was having
psychological problems and to please get him somewhere where he could get help!

RHYTHMAFIA,PHI,ARTICLE UNMAKE & DOCTRINE...1 YEAR AGO, On February 12, 2008 our friend Jason "BIG JAY" Swift was shot & killed by Pawtucket police, the details are still "shady". He leaves behind his mother, father and son Mattew whom he loved more than anything.Jason was a good father and great friend who could light-up a room with his charm.Jay was one of the creators of the SCUMBAGS comedy troop and such a large part of our lives that we’re all still in shock over this tragic loss. He is missed by everyone who knew him. Please remember what an amazing person Jay was, and carry all the memories you have of him in your heart and mind forever.ALL proceeds will go to his two year old son...

1st and Foremost Big Up to all Living Room family especially to those who stuck by us through all the hard time. You all know in your hearts who you are. The best part of my job was meeting all the wonderful people this music institution brought into my life and watching bands go from the garage to club to national success. I have countless memories and stories to share my grand kids from this place. I am proud of every second I spent in this club and would change a thing. Thanks to all who help this place stay alive as long as it did. Standing ovation to all of you. To all the employees who where like family to me love you all and thank you all so much. There was some tough love but it was all ways love and to Randy......
Randy wore many hats in my life: father figure, mentor, boss & best friend. He always had a spot for me at any family event, for which I was always grateful. My family lived so far a way. Charlie became like and brother to me and Brian & Scott like uncles. I miss you so much Randy. All the wisdom and life lessons you taught me. I will never forget your warm smile or the pride in your eyes when you called me one of your "good boys" I have a child on the way and I now understand were all you joy came from when you and Patty expanded the Hien family. I will teach my child the lessons you instilled in me: Perseverance, faith, respect, Pride, how to be positive in the most dismal of times, to always follow your dreams no matter how many people are betting against you, never give up, true inner strength and how to win big and maintain a humble smile with a tip or your big brim hat. You always went above and beyond to make others feel welcome and equal, there was a place for everyone at the Living Room all styles and music cultures were welcome. Life ever lasting. Thank you for everything you were always there for me and helped me through one of the toughest times in my life.
Much love and respect as always I carry your smile in my heart and
Zach Shane!!!

We never quite got a chance to play at the living room, but it was always our biggest aspiration. We always knew that "one day", we'd play a show at the living room, in front of faces known and unknown alike, and we would put our all into that one show, and that would be the most memorable show in our career.
well, ha. We may never have played the living room, but we've attended our fair share of shows, seeing the same band two, three times in the same year at the same place just because you knew it was going to be a good show, hands down.
well I hope something is done to get the original back up and running, or to start up something similar, because without a place like the living room, too many people are left without something to do on a friday night.
