Hello! There's this very cool rock festival going on this weekend at Vanderbilt University. Lots of great acts including my friend, Alana Grace! Lady Antebellum, Spoon and Feist are going to be there among many other artists! All happening Friday and Saturday! Alana's playing on SATURDAY at 445pm, so come check her out! Just trying to spread the word about her and her music because she's been very supportive of Forget-Me-Not.

Hope you & Amy are doing well. Its been intensive here, preparing for release. Just a quick note to say thanks again for your hospitality while I was there. One of the most inspiring & intensive weeks of my life! I'm already a 1/4 of the way through my first manufacturing run in pre-sales. How fun is that?!

By the way...I am just getting ready to head out for morning coffee before day 2 in the studio...and I have been listening to your songs in my studio headphones. And I can say this: you are a brilliant writer. Don't ever let this go, no matter what Nashville or anyone else ever tells you along this journey. When I heard Breathe, I was touched into the core of me. Maybe out of line for me to say - especially to the broad universe of people viewing your site and it being out in the open and all - but, I am not much for holding back when something burns in me like this. So here you go cousin. Forget the tribulations of a rock band...this is your thing. This is your future. You are scaling mountains with this music. And I am certain that when the music gets to right hands, you are helping others (your listeners) scale mountains as well.

Thanks for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Wonderful to meet both you and Amy and get to know you a little. Thanks for your very generous support. Hope Amy is feeling better. Things are going well, and yeah, these boys can play! We launched 5 tracks straight into orbit yesterday, and had some good laughs. Tracking 7 more today + acoustics. I'll keep you posted...

Because your talent is off the scale phenomenal, and because other aspiring songwriters could learn a great deal from people with your caliber of experience, I am cordially inviting you and as many friends as you’d like to bring to our little shindig, the 2nd annual Red River Songwriters’ Jam, in Adairville, KY (roughly an hour north of Nashville, TN) on Sunday, September 9, 2007. Songwriters from as far away as Australia will be there (last year we had people in from Spain!). Some of our guests have cuts, others don’t. THE EVENT IS FREE—DRINKS PROVIDED (FOOD IS POT LUCK).
