"...it’s like Kid Strange and Urban Blitz from the Doctors of Madness at their most morose played Overhang Party, or a mogadon’d Peter Hammill jamming with Van Der Graaf’s Graham Smith. Elsewhere, the singular desolation is most reminiscent of the most down down moments of Nico’s THE MARBLE INDEX or even of Jesse Colin Young’s The Youngbloods at their most mercurial. But the Scrapes are still so original their music ultimately don’t sound like nobody but themselves." Julian Cope

The Doll was really good...
but wait until "The Hound of Music" takes over the La Boite stage on the 29th, 30th and 31st of May!

Once again La Boite that was a marvellous performance =)
The Doll is a very important work and we all agree that you definitely did it justice.
It was a beautifully cast play and all of the characters were thrilling and it worked extremely well in the Roundhouse
Our senior students studied the Doll this year and to see it performed professionally was a treat

Cheers and good luck with the rest of the show

Hello La Boite you old scally-wag, you...

How are you?

Now listen... I wrote a song. (word in your ear) It's loosely based on Waiting for Godot. But keep that under your hat.

It's on my MySpace music.

Now I know it's not an Australian play... (Waiting for Godot) but you're still allowed to listen to it. I'm an Australian and I wrote it! And I hope you don't have an aversion to long Steely Dan-esque intros... (click on the lyrics) The singing actually begins around the minute mark or something... I don't know... I can't stand to hear the stupid thing anymore. Actually, I'm deleting it from my myspace in fourteen days. Yeah! Why not? Didi mark 3 I think it's called.

It'll play when you get there. I set it to that annoying automatic 'play upon arrival' thing you can do.

I'll cya round maybe, we could - I don't know... Go see a play or something? Heroes is meant to be pretty good... Course... how we get you all the way over to SouthBank? (tim stands by the Roundhouse with his thumb on his chin)

I mean... it's round... we could flip it up and roll it. You, I mean... the theatre. - This is the dumbest comment I think I've ever had the notion to write.

hello la boite. i have been perusing your myspace and while it is very good and i do applaud it heartily i do feel that its lacking something.

me.

that's right. i can see so much room for dancing in next year's season. imagine, summer of the seventeenth doll as an arena spectacular. oh i can see it now with lots of feathers and sequins and spririt fingers of course.

anyway, if you can see my vision, you know where to find me. im currently holidaying in my home town of ipswich before i embark on my world tour early next year......we shall speak soon.
