Hello friends of Anime Secrets,


Anime Secrets is hosting the second annual Halloween Cosplay Contest! Also returning to help us pull off this event is Funimation, who were our sponsors last year, and provided boxsets to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The contest is fairly simple. Email you in your cosplay no later then November 15th, 2009, and wait for results. You have nothing to lose but everything to gain!

Thanks AtsuiCon,

On 10/27/08, it would have been a full year since the beginning of the African American Anime Fan group. How quickly the membership has grown to 1000+, which includes fans (a more adult oriented demographic), artist, as well as industries. Thanks for being a part of making that happen.

LOL. I know everyone out there are waiting to see when and where AtsuiCon2 will be. No news yet. But we plan to announce the information late summer. Stay tuned! And keep an eye out for special events in town via our forums.

One thing I wanna NOT know is if Atsui was better than Matsuri (chances are though that it was). Since Atsui would've been my 3rd convention ever, had I the right to go, I would've been very satisfied, but now I'm sick to my stomach when I think about all the cool-ass stuff I missed. ;-; Oh well... I'm going to Oni-con this year, which just so happened to be my first convention last year. A whole year and I've only gone to two conventions... Damn. >.<

lol i kno this a late comment but i loved the con.
it was the 2nd one i went to so i was expecting it to be good
and it was. loved the band that ya'll got,
and the events that were held.
so thank you for an sweet con this year. :]
o and all the ppl that helped keep it going thanks i was very impressed by the whole situation ;)

Hooray! Atsui was a great second con for me! Sooo much competetion during the cosplay contest though... 0.0! But, the awards were given to the people who deserved it ^_^
Hopefully I can come next year if I'm not taking college summer school :-/

Thanks to everyone who helped us out in our first year. You guys are the best. We promise bigger and better things to come in Season 2. And did you notice? After all the rain Houston had all through July, there was no rain that reached AtsuiCon! And Houston has been in a heatwave ever since! LOL!

I had a splendid time.
It was my first anime convention ever.
