PS - this is what went down at the Sweet and Hot fest at the same time as the party - and the reason that I missed it. Maybe it wasn't as loose as Leo's party, but it sure was jumping!



That's David Boeddinghaus on the piano... one of my all-time favorite living pianists! (I actually go out of my way to hear him if he's in the general area).

Oh yeah, and I'm in the back, playing washboard, next to John Reynolds.

Everyone agreed that this was by far the best jam that ever happened at the Sweet and Hot... and I definitely agree.

This was far better than the usual amateur-hour fare they usually get, (with Brad Kay typically one of the few good musicians holding the amateur band together).

Hey man, the joint is jumping!

I'm sorry I missed that party, but hey... please let me know when the next one is!

Also, I just got back from SF a few days ago... had a good time at the festival in Sacramento, too. Let's get together this coming week! Dad and I are cleaning up the house anyway, and I'm trying to get all my recordings, sheet music etc. consolidated so I can refer to them quickly.

Please lemme know if there is anything you would like to hear in particular, in the way of recordings, and if we have it I will either send it to you or at least pull it out so that it will be ready to listen to when you come over. Of course there will be plenty of room around the piano.

And hey man, if there are any recordings that YOU want me to hear, that you think I haven't heard yet (and I haven't heard a lot of recordings), then I'm happy to hear them.

How was the jolly old UK? Pip-pip, tally-ho, and all that rot?!?

Thanks for the add J-Dog.  Don't know if you'll remember me, but I was the quiet dude stayin' at the Weenie House in Port Townsend (the only Weenie under 40 as far as I could tell...).  Hope you make it back to Centrum next year.  And you need to record like a dozen CDs so we can give you money.  I know you got the material.
