This is a comment that I am leaving for (insert profile name). It demonstrates that we know each other and/or are familiar with each others creative output. It is also, to use the street vernacular, a "shout out". Also, this comment is being used to promote my own profile by calling attention to me or whatever jpg I decide to leave with the comment text beit a flyer or some promotional aspect of my profile. Leaving a comment is a risky endevour because by showing a close association between myself and the person i am leaving a comment for, I am leaving myself (and the other person) open to public scrutiny vis a vis my hipness quotient and his/her hipness quotient. For example, if I have a larger hipness quotient that the person i am leaving a comment about, they gain from being associated with me. This is true in the vice versa scenario. One takes a risk in leaving a comment too in that the person may refrain from accepting your comment. In doing so it only potentially hurts your ego but the other person thwarts any reduction in their hipness quotient by accepting the comment. The postive outweighs the negative (but only from that person's perspective). I leave this comment with a more than 50% chance that this person will accept it. There is a lessened degree of risk in leaving a comment for this specific person and this person only.
