Dear Mary GrandPre,

I hope you are still enjoying my debut full-length double-disc EP, Death to Humans. If you have any friends who need a copy, tell them to order it from my Myspace.

I know a lot of wizards are really into this idea of making these charity records. I have even been asked to contribute to a few of them myself. That's all well and good, but I don't get what the big deal is about reading. Why do all these kids need to read so much? Don't they have YouTube?

Anyway, I've decided to go ahead and make my own charity compilation that will benefit squids. Yes, that's right, SQUIDS! Humans have brought too much death and destruction to this world for me to continue propping them up with such philanthropic endeavours.

I am now soliciting contributions to a compilation album entitled:

A Tribute to the Giant Squidstravaganza

If you or anyone you know wants to contribute a song, please email me (giantsquidrocks@yahoo.com
). The song does not need to be by or about wizards. Instead, it should be either by or about me. In other words, it would be OK for you to cover one of my songs, and it would also be OK for you to write your own song about how awesome I am. It would NOT be OK for you to cover someone else's song, unless that song was about me. It is also NOT OK to write songs about stuff I don't care about, i.e, girls you want to make out with, stupid Hogwarts teen drama, and/or Twilight (whatever that is).

Proceeds from the sales of A Tribute to the Giant Squidstravaganza will benefit the Architeuthis Youth Center of Rapid City: a safe place for at-risk young squids to make a positive impact in their community.

Wizard Weekend is
(August 23 & 24) at the
New York Renaissance Faire
(www.renfair.com/NY/) at Sterling Forest
in Tuxedo, NY.

Wizard Weekend the Faire is open from 10Am to 7Pm. Wizard Bands will be berforming at the Mudd Pitt Stage and at the Music Pavilion at various times of the day. There will also be a special Wizard area by the Mudd Pitt Stage to purchase band merchandise. Each Wizard Band will perform two (2) sets each day plus a little extra. There will also have some other special HP related things going on during the day.

Confirmed to perform are:
Bella and le Strangers (Sat & Sun)
Celestial Warmbottom (Sat & Sun)
LIANEandthemusic (Sat & Sun)
Nagini (Sun)
Potter Inc. (Sat)
Stalkers (Sun)
The Pevevell Sisters (Sat)
Madam Prince and the Librarians (Sat)
Mary and the GrandPres (Sat)

Besides the Wizard area there is a full Renaissance Faire going on. This is going to be a great weekend at Faire not to say that all weekends at Faire are not wonderful.

The profits from what Wizard and Witchcraft Entertainment is doing at this show will go to The Literacy Volunteers of Rockland County (www.planet-rockland.org/liter/litvolrc. html).
