Dear Violet: letter from a desert grave, by N. Sigafoos, has been sent to the eight leading Democratic candidates for President. Along with the novella, which chronicles the life and death of a lesbian American soldier, candidates received a survey of ten yes-or-no questions regarding issues such as the Iraq War, Don't Ask-Don't Tell, and gay marriage.

The author challenges the candidates to have the courage to make a definitive statement about these issues by responding to the survey. The results will be publicized at www.sigwit.com, and shared with the press in order to help guide the decisions of over 4 million GLBT voters, countless GLBT supporters & allies, and all Americans who value peace and justice.

Awesome show last night!!! I still can't believe fucking Team Dresch is back. You guys pretty much saved my life when I was 17 and coming out of the closet to my homophobic mom. I just remember lying on my bed listening to Uncle Phranc over and over again and realizing that I didn't have to live in anyone else oppressive, heterosexist paradigm if I didn't want to. I'm not really sure who "She's Amazing" was written about, but for me it was always about you guys :-)
p.s. I posted some video on the bulletin from last night of Uncle Phranc and Tamala singing :-)
