Mitch Mitchell The Drummer For The Jimi Hendrix Experience Is Dead. His powerful drumming on the song Fire made me want to take up drumming. It was Mitchell not John Bonham who made me want to learn the drums. My first Hendrix album was Jimi Hendrix Smash Hits and I bought it because like so many other guitarists I wanted it for Jimi however for another instrument to shine through the talent of Jimi Hendrix it had to be good and that good was an Engish lad named Mitch Mitchell.
