I lived in Columbia from 95'-97' and was a huge 'Sourwood' fan and later became a big fan of 'The South'. I was not fortunate enough to know Chris as much as most of you have, but he did impact his fans with his lyrics, his musical talent, and his spirit. He will be greatly missed.

I just want to say thank you to the entire South Band and Carney for all the good music, friendships and laughter. You guys will always be my favorite! I'm here if any of you need me and I hope to see you all soon at a Nic/Funk/Leslie show!

So much fun and joy over the years could never be duplicated, or recreated. So I would like to give a simple thank you, for some truly great times. C3 will be missed but never forgotten. For the ones that really knew him, he will live in our hearts forever.

After many tears after reading this about chris whom I was so hoping since everything was going great that he would be back with us making his beautiful music. Chris will be missed by a lot of people for he was loved by many. My deepest condolences to his family for their loss of such a wonderful person. You don't get to meet to many like him and his presence here on earth will sadly be missed. May his music play on forever.

Just heard today, I was shocked. I didn't know Chris that well, but we're second cousins. I saw him at his Grandmother's birthday and he was so full of life. My prayers and thoughts are with his family

Chris, I've always thought of you just like a big brother... from being on the road playing along side you guys or just hanging out and talking about life... you've always inspired me in music and in life. God has a special place in his heart for music, and I know that you're singing his praises at this very moment! I love you and miss you, but know I'll see you again soon!
