You are such a pioneer Isobella!  you make my heart smile.....I mean, figuring out on your own all the info you have learned, and then to be so generous with all your info.  You really are somethin' special........you could have chosen to be all greedy (lol) but instead you chose to help us all better understand the in's and out's.

Hi Isobella!
I'm really struggling to find some agencis that will accept me! I'm only 5"2 which is even shorter than you! And so not many places are taking me.
I have some portfolio photos which are on my myspace if you want a look but if you could give me some advice for agencies to try, maybe looking into hand modelling or hair modelling or something a bit different because of my height.

Hello Beautiful!

As always I would like to thank you for all of your bloging. Without it I would have never realized that there truly is work out there for an ambitious petite model. I would have never realized the difference between fashion and commercial modeling. I would have never realized the difference between commercial and fashion looking photos. Who knows how much time I may have wasted shooting fashion type photos. You are an inspiration not only for petite models, but for any young woman out there with a passion with a drive to succeed.

On the 4th of this month I shot with Socko a very well know, respected commercial photographer. Some of the biggest commercial agencies throughout the nation use him in order to shoot and or put together comp cards for their models. He is truly a professional and he truly knows what it is the agencies are looking for, which is why I opted to shoot with him while he was still in Chicago. In my photos album I have posted pictures from the contact sheet. These are just the raw material. He suggested I wait until I received the new material to submit. As you could assume and understand I am VERY anxious!

These past three months have been quite an adventure for me and Id like to thank you Isobella for all of the help.

You are such an inspiration. I've been told my entire life that I should become a model, but when I realized I wasn't going to grow any taller than 5'1", I thought the dream was lost.
I never thought there was such a thing as petite modeling, but here you are!

i used to think it was all about high fashion modelling and everything and looking glamourous but i have realised its not and it takes alot of hard work so because of my height i am trying to model for more realistic things like skin care and make up for teens and all that stuff.

I'm just starting modelling. I've had a professionla portfolio taken and am applying for modeling agencies but because of my height (5"2) I'm not getting very far. Do you know of any good agencies in London that could take me? I'm 15 and don't want to do any nude shoots!
